5 ways to style: the silk skirt
A silk skirt is one of the hardest-working pieces in a wardrobe. Timeless, versatile, and endlessly wearable, it moves seamlessly through every season and can be styled in so many different ways, as shown here. It’s a classic for a reason.
I especially love a midi length that hits a few inches below the knee. I find it to be the most versatile and flattering proportion. Polished, effortless, and easy to dress up or down.
You can find silk skirts at many different price points, but I do recommend investing in one made from 100% silk for longevity and drape. It’s the kind of piece you’ll reach for year after year.

Denim is the foundation of a great wardrobe. It’s the piece you reach for over and over again because it works with everything. Dress it up with a blazer and heels, or keep it casual with a tee and sneakers. Great denim has endless versatility.
When it comes to finding the right pair, fit is everything. Pay attention to the rise (where the waistband sits on your waist), the leg shape, and the length of the hem. Small differences in fit can completely change how a jean looks and feels. Don’t be afraid to try different silhouettes until you find what feels most like you. I’ve included styling notes in the slides for a few of my favorite silhouettes.
A straight-leg jean is my personal go-to, but I also love looser fits or a cigarette silhouette depending on the occasion. I tend to gravitate toward a mid-to-high rise as I find it the most flattering on myself, but the best fit is always the one that makes you feel the most confident.
