This series of photos are rooted in the essence of what it means to “tell a story”.
At what price do we choose to be silent, At what cost do we choose to be transparent, to be emotional, to be you.
Being gay and Middle Eastern, my life - both personally and artistically - has always felt at odds. This intersection has resulted, in what i feel is the erasure of my voice, not only within my own community, but within the industry itself. As an Iranian, I have seen calls for freedom spoken loudly within our community, only to be denied to queer and trans people like myself in the same breath. At the same time, my Middle Eastern peers and I continue to see our stories, artistry, and expression quietly censored.
The reality is, it is in your hands to preserve your own story.

TD Music Hall meets Solo Dance Artist 🤝
Dance has always been a driving force in the music industry — a tool for creating cultural longevity and relevance. It’s time dancers take up space in the same industry we’ve been pushing forward AND we did that last night 😤
