On December 29th, Gregers asked me to marry him on January 10th. He had already booked the local church. Of course I said yes.🩵
It was incredibly romantic, and wonderfully uncomplicated, to be engaged for only ten days. Honestly, it was refreshing not to spend months planning or overthinking everything. I found a dress, informed our closest family, and arranged a meeting with the priest.
January 10th became the most romantic day of my life. It was a beautiful winter morning, crisp with frost and sunshine, there was magic in the air. I hadn’t slept much the night before, as little Georg had kept me awake, but none of that mattered. The moment was there, along with a calmness that allowed us to truly celebrate love and be fully present.
There was no planning and no big wedding to think about, Gregers and I could just be there together and look into each other’s eyes. For us, that was the right way to say yes.
My grandmother Vivi got to be part of the day before she passed away a few days ago. In many ways, the timing felt very meaningful.
I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced a day so simple, so intimate, and so filled with love. A day I will never forget. 🩵✨ Photograf#
