I love this account because I feel like I have a special kind of connection to the people who follow me here because we are connected by our mutual love for nature. Here’s a photo I took of @aslan_steel rappelling off a cliff in Switzerland. I love silhouette shots, I think they are so simple but evocative.
I visited Lunga, one of the Treshnish Isles, which is home to lots of seabirds in breeding season including puffins. The puffins are so photogenic, so doesn’t make it hard! They have such a delightful funny headfirst walk as well - as pictured here!
My grandad loved to paint bluebells on the forest floor and I can see why. Look close enough and it’s like nature’s own abstract paintings... The first one is my favourite. Might blow it up into a print for my house ☺️
Looking at the moon presiding over the land, knowing it did so long before us and will continue to do so long after us, reminds me of the value of my time here on Earth. It’s easy to forget just because most of us aren’t thinking about our lives on this grand a scale every second of every day. I don’t think that’s a bad thing but it’s good to be reminded.
