Fakulti Teater ASWARA membawakan Bicara Santai Citra Seni yang menampilkan dua figura seni hebat tanah air iaitu Nad Zainal yang juga merupakan alumni ASWARA dan YBhg. Datin Sofia Jane sebagai panel jemputan yang telah berlangsung pada 12 Mei 2026 (Selasa) bertempat di Dewan Orkestra, ASWARA.
Lebih menarik, program interaktif ini membincangkan realiti dunia lakonan secara tidak langsung memberikan inspirasi kepada para pelajar.

Last Sunday night, was truly a magical evening at the 21st BOH Cameronian Awards. Wonderful stuff @sabrinahassanpix ! @seanwghazi you were the perfect host who had us involved the moment you stepped on stage. To the nominees and practitioners , what a celebration of human emotions. We laughed, loved, cried, fell silent and listened to each other which made the night so special. To @ezadibrahim , Mark Ong and team, congratulations for Best Make up and Costume Design and @eecheewei for Best Lighting Design for Visits. @kupu_kupu for her win in Masmoona [email protected]_ for Fragments of Tuah and ASK Dance Company for Setanggi Tari Melayu 2025. And to all recipients. Culture affirms, captivates and perpetuates. Everyone in the hall was a testament to that. A nation was built that night at PJ PAC. My dearest @theidanerina and @zahimalbakri , thank you for allowing me and everyone who took part in Visits to have a bit of the late Jit Murad. We shall cherish this always ❤️

Representatives (Datin Sofia Jane, Adyan Norzalahuddin & Fairuz Sulaiman) from Visits by Dramalab sit down at Kakiseni’s acclaimed roundtable discussion and talk about reviving Jit Murad’s darkly witty script for contemporary audiences, exploring themes of mental health, power dynamics, and identity, and blending humour with psychological depth to create an intimate and thought-provoking theatrical experience at the 21BCAA On Set.

JOM KITA KE LAUT: ITUI SULI - SULI BAJAU premiered last night. I’m always thankful to catch documentaries that feature Malaysia’s grand landscape and her people. @fat.bidin presents us with this docu film that follows 3 “young directors” as they are labelled from Omadal Island, Sabah, Bilikuin Jimi Saleh , Shima Manan and Nuriana Nasip . @zanazlee and his fantastic team ( amazing job for sound) offered filmmaking mentorship to the youth of Omadal island perhaps in the hope that truthful stories of their people may be told through lens instead of just words. And with that the selected three went on to make their own short films. JOM KITA KE LAUT balances poverty and empowerment. It’s heartbreaking yet heartwarming. Highlighting ISKUL, an NGO that provides Alternative Learning for the invisible children who cannot access education. Through interviews, I watched the numerous initiatives to improve the welfare of the residents with education. As the film begins to focus on the Bajau Laut community, we discover much darker consequences of children without documents. Health and safety risks, the dreaded glue sniffing that helps with boredom, hunger and frustration that are rife. Discrimination by the Bajau Darat against the Bajau Laut was mentioned by Bilikuin in his interview. I wish he had elaborated further. Perhaps he will one day tell that story through film. This 70 minute documentary film, produced by @sherilabustaman is important to be played in cinemas. As they wait for Syarat Wajib Tayang (Finas) to grant the film that status, I urge all to watch it when it arrives in cinemas. Because it was made to encourage young people to make films and documentaries about themselves and the communities in which they live. The communities we debate online on whether they should be excluded or included. If their lives have purpose, which we know nothing about. Statelessness.
We celebrate you today @theidanerina . You, who give a damn, you, who make us feel safe and finally home when performing . You, who document and reflect human interactions like no other.
