a little appreciation post for the show + cast 🫶🏼
the pitt has built a huge nest inside my heart and i will forever treasure it. while the show premiered every thursday, my sister and i watched every friday with our snacks (or none cause the medical procedures can be intense), ready to be in our feels. i never thought about opening a fan account after 8+ years of not having one, but earlier this year i had made some edits for fun and i decided to open this account a month later; and i’m glad i did. i loved getting to know the characters and see their interactions. i loved learning about medical procedures that save lives. i love that real life nurses are a part of the show. i love a cast who is super intricate in their work to portray characters that are deeply loved by many. i love everyone who is involved off-screen as much as on-screen. i love how funny and vulnerable the show can be. i love following other projects the cast have done and what they’ll do next. the pitt rewatch in the near future for sure! cannot wait what s3 has to offer!

I had the chance to reconnect with an old friend who spent 18 years in the ER/Trauma department and visit the hospital where so much of this work unfolds every day.
Spending time with real nurses moved me deeply. Hearing their stories, watching the pace, and witnessing the weight of what they carry in real time gave me an even deeper respect for all they do.
The strength. The care. The humanity.
What stays with me most is how much of this work asks of them. The long hours. The quick decisions. The emotional weight. The steady presence they offer people on some of the hardest days of their lives.
There is nothing performative about what they do. They live it every day.
To every person working in the medical field, thank you. I see you. I respect you. I admire you. And I appreciate you more deeply than I can say.
