Eggshell becomes both material and metaphor in this project by Madrid-based designer Sofia Arteta, exploring the state of “walking on eggshells” as a condition of womanhood shaped by vigilance, fragility, and survival. Through references to broken shells and angelic figures, the collection navigates the uneasy coexistence of violence and delicacy, translating repressed emotion into garments through layered transparencies, fraying, and textile experimentation that evoke erosion and exposure, while sheer fabrics reclaim the female body from taboo and silence, allowing an uncomfortable but necessary conversation to surface.
