Thrilled to share that these two paintings have been acquired by the Munich RE Art Collection @munichreartcollection Following their 2024 acquisition of a work on paper and a major painting commission, I’m deeply grateful for their continued trust and support of my work. In this diptych, I use paper and paint in the first work to create two Möbius strips bound together: infinite forms with no inside or outside 🪢 For the second work I researched topology and knot theory, developing a loop that is unknotted yet continuous. By working with paper in this way, I was able to shape and move these infinite structures, and then reveal the full process by bringing them back into the canvas. The process and the paintings become the shapes and these become themselves: continuous, never ending ∞ One and Two (diptych), acrylic and collage on canvas.

Long live fantasy 🧡 Long live Slugtown 💜 Tomorrow Friday is the last day to bid for my artwork “Viva La Fantasia” which I donated to help raise funds for @slugtown_ . If you win this work you’ll be supporting this amazing gallery in Newcastle, to help them continue to fund exhibitions, and to run SlugClub – their free art club for children in the east end of Newcastle. I was so lucky to have a solo exhibition in Slugtown in 2022, which was one of my favourite experiences, and I hope that more artist can continue to exhibit there, and that more people get to benefit from their exhibitions and art club! Now on view through 8 November — @cam.contemporarie presents, ETERNALRETURN, the first solo exhibition in Chicago of work by London based artist, Sofia Clausse. In a series of black and white pressed prints in dialogue with small ceramic sculptures, wall diagrams, and installation, Clausse explores the subversion of language, spiritual cycles, and the elusive nature of endings and beginnings. The concept of ETERNALRETURN is a continuous loop — an hourglass, a zen garden of lines layered with meaning, or an experimental process and practice of terminology.

ETERNALRETURN my solo exhibition in Chicago now open :) The concept of ETERNALRETURN is a continuous loop — an hourglass, a zen garden of lines layered with meaning, or an experimental process and practice of terminology. I’m always thinking about transformations from one thing to the next, and to the next, and to the next, and then back to the beginning. Esentially there’s no beginning and no end. 🌀@cam.contemporarie
