Children of the seas, when they’ve traveled to the city, always remember to bring the city back to the sea.
8.5 months of growing you - when I first saw you in that ultrasound I made a promise to immerse you into this world I love. I pray you learn to love others, accept them for who they are as they are, advocate for the people, speak your truth, your mind and know that as your parents we are here to embrace you- share with you this world we love (despite it being soo chaotic and complicated at times) You have danced with me from Ailey Studios in nyc to the Cenotes in Yucatan - as we get ready to meet you - I am hopeful that we can bring you here safely and peacefully so that you can see this world that DOES have beauty in it.—— A special note to all the mothers in this world be it you birthed, adopted, fostered, taught students that became your kids, lost a child or dream of being a mother … the most sacred realization I am having is - if you are called to love and nurture there is no one way to do this no matter your gender/race/identity if mothering calls you- it is yours ✨💕🫂
2025 - wow a 12 month lesson on being openly in love, the rewards that come with pursuing your heart: aka the truest support and love pops up around you! In 2025 I married my best friend, worked 8 jobs, said goodbye to the city that formed me, cried my heart out with gratitude and love for my chosen family (not all pictured), taught alot, performed alongside artists I deeply admire, fell more in love with dance and community and learned to trust my heART/ body even more fearlessly and without hesitation. I am endlessly greatful and look forward to what is to come.
