I feel like I can’t talk about the exciting things I have coming up without acknowledging something that lit a fire under my ass this past year. 1 yr ago, I went through the scariest health experience of my life, something I haven’t really talked about much, but it changed me in a big way. I got really sick with a blood infection. I had sepsis, double mycoplasma pneumonia & a bruised rib. I was in the ER hallucinating with a high fever, grainy vision, sweating profusely, insane heart rate. Then unable to physically answer dr’s, walk, couldnt change/bathe/do anything without assistance & so much more all at once. I was in the hospital for a week, followed by 30 days of harsh IV antibiotics through a PICC line. After that, it just has been endless bloodwork, meds, scans & dr visits. I also came out of this with a weak immune system so of course I got sick like every other week while recovering from all of this. During this time i was really lucky i had my family around to support me through this & such an understanding and supportive team at RH.
This all happened during a pivotal time. I tried so hard to shove all my problems to the side so I could help get Riser House Rock off the ground. I literally dont know how I juggled everything while feeling like crap. Def made me appreciate life experiences in a different way. It’s taken about a year to feel like myself again, physically + mentally. But going through something like that gives you a level of clarity u can’t really ignore. It made me realize how much I genuinely love what I do. Not in a surface level way. But in a this-is-what-I’m-meant-to-do way. The music, the messaging behind the music, the people, the community, the world building… all of it. It feels like a miracle I survived. I don’t know how this all happened to my body but I am so grateful that everything was caught in time. This has been a challenging year to physically and mentally recovering from all of this. I really haven’t told a lot of people about this but if I was MIA for a bit… this is why.
I’m doing a lot better now. And I’m really excited for what’s ahead 🖤🥹🎵

This was one of my favorite days ever! This crew is amazing. We started the video at the Historic Harris House (creepiest but coolest house). Since the video dropped, a question that was asked a lot was how Paige was filmed under water, this BTS video shows how we did it!
