Porch Dog was where it all started for Dalton Massey and Tradd Makar back in 2020. Playing house shows and porch gigs around Charleston during lockdown, the band quickly became a favorite in the local scene. Fronted by Dalton Masseyâa guy who grew up on Folly BeachâPorch Dog brought that raw, homegrown Lowcountry energy that connected with people right away.
From those early porch sessions, Traddâs love for the water and the working harbor life shaped his next chapter. After spending a year as a tugboat deckhand in Charleston Harbor, he stepped out front as Tugboat Tradd, leading Tugboat Tradd & The Deckhands Band.
These days, Tradd and Dalton often team up, blending the soul of Porch Dog with the full-band drive of The Deckhands. Youâll catch them tearing it up at local spots like the Pour House, Windjammer, and Music Farm, plus college parties and festivals across the region. Whether itâs a stripped-down Porch Dog set or the full Tugboat Tradd & The Deckhands experience, they keep the focus on original music and that authentic Lowcountry sound.

Mary France is a Charleston-based Americana artist blending Ozark mountain blues, bluegrass, and smoky jazz into a sound thatâs both grounded and quietly powerful. Known for her deep, warm vocal tone, her music draws listeners in with a front-porch intimacy and emotional depth.
Her songwriting is rooted in lived experienceâshaped by rural summers, late-night conversations, and the loss of loved onesâgiving her sound a âporch croonââ feel with a haunting yet hopeful edge. Writing is her way of processing and translating emotion, resulting in songs that feel honest, raw, and deeply human.
Inspired by artists like Brandi Carlile, Tyler Childers, and Sheryl Crow, Mary France delivers sets that connectâwhether in an intimate room or on a larger stage.

Grace Miller Moody is a soulful singer-songwriter with a smoky, unmistakable voice and a presence that makes you lean in. Often compared to Amy Winehouse for her jazzy tone and raw delivery, she blends retro soul with a modern, self-assured edge. Originally from Florence, she began performing in Charleston bars in 2024, quickly building a following drawn to her emotion and command on stage.
Everything shifted on The Voice Season 27. Her performance of Sunday Morning by Maroon 5 earned a rare four-chair turn, including Adam Levine, and changed her trajectory overnight. Before that moment, pursuing music full-time wasnât even the plan. After it, there was no turning back.
Now, Grace Miller Moody creates music rooted in honesty, confidence, and presence.
Songs that donât ask for attention, they take it. Check out her latest single âOutta Your Leagueâ, a celebration of natural confidence and undeniable IT GIRL energy.
