We didn’t know how to approach this because it almost felt wrong.
Life has felt heavier these past few months. Tougher times ahead of us after everything we’ve already endured.
We by no means want to distract but maybe provide a bit of relief and release. Timing is key and sadly it’ll never be the right time as a musician trying to connect with the world.
Despite everything - we’re so grateful to live here, see the love and support this beautiful state has for immigrants. We’re a living example of an immigrant’s dream, the sacrifices our parents made to come here and provide for their kids. The privilege to be part of such a loving community and family but not to stay silent.
Sadly we wish we could say we’ll be okay but who knows, who are we to say. We used to say we weren’t political but this is more than that and it feels like the universe is demanding we speak up. Remember empathy over sympathy is essential. Life has felt very heavy these past few months but community and music have helped past generations so there’s hope it’ll do the same for us. We just want to express our gratitude and love towards everyone. Stay safe. Fuck ICE.
