this song feels like closure to me. it’s owning the reality that it didn’t work and that you just weren’t good for each other! you can let something go and still accept that it mattered and shaped you. and it feels incredibly healing to close that chapter of my life.
always felt it was special since we wrote it a year ago so i am so happy it’s now yours. thank you @tomjordann & @robpersaudmusic for making it sound so beautiful and for keeping the magic from the day. it really did just fall out of us so naturally and i just love it so so much
may 1st & a new era has begun… the hell of april is finally over.

found this video from june 2025. I’ve been going back and forth about whether to post it on here but thought f*ck it.
there are obviously much bigger problems in the world and I did choose this career… but I think it’s important to show the reality of doing this independently and how hard it can be sometimes. sorry I’m crying on the internet again!! I’m aware this is incredibly exposing and unsexy but who am I trying to fool? the industry? my peers? myself?
I still don’t have the answers but I’m persevering and keeping going because I believe in my art and my ability. you mustn’t lose sight of that, even when times are tough.
it’s easy to focus on the negative so here are some wins since filming this video:
– I put out my debut album “THE HELL OF APRIL” completely independently on October 3rd last year and it’s streamed nearly 2 million times
– my face was on a @spotifyuk billboard in leicester square for 4 days (pretty cool)
– I pressed vinyl for the first time and (to my surprise) sold hundreds all over the world. all thanks to the community we’ve built over the years <3
– I organised an album release/headline show in london at @hoxtonhall with my band. it was bloody expensive and I didn’t break even but there’s nothing better than human connection and performing live. especially playing all the songs off my album. it was very special and I have no regrets!
- had a lil viral moment with the last song off my album ‘it was never about the dishwasher’ which although resulted in me being cooked online… I did reach a new audience! so hi if you’re new here!
to any artists who can relate - you’re not alone in this. social media is mostly a highlight reel and it’s easy to feel behind. everyone is on their own journey at their own pace. I keep reminding myself of that too. and to artists in a similar position to me… we’ve done it before so we can do it again! I truly believe that.
to everyone who listens to my music and continues to support me… thank you. you make it possible for me to keep going 🤍 love you
