Greenroof / pavilion at Grenier St now completed after 5 months of slog and ready for Christmas entertaining. Very happy with the new Sir Grange lawn to tie it all together… a little bit of luxury (it’s only 20m2)! Aside from the visuals, the thermal efficiency achieved for the house has been nothing short of remarkable. An awesome team of collaborators to achieve this: #sticksandstones #markthebricklayer #ingineered #centenarylandscaping

Precision loading of podium soil by @centenarylandsc this week. Following waterproofing, we added drainage cell, Geofabric and a layer of bedding sand. Formed, galvanised boxes have been used to increase soil depth along the boundary line to accommodate small native trees and citrus. These will create privacy and a productive space that was previously a hot tin roof. Design: @soddesign Concrete: @sticks_stones_concrete Engineering: @ingineered Podium soil: @centenarylandsc

The recent @aila_national conference in Hobart gave some of us the fabulous opportunity to tour behind the scenes at the @monamuseum Here are a few images showcasing the incredible vision and investment by the owner and the Mona foundation. A wonderful asset for the people of Hobart. Check it out!

The big reveal today! The boys from @sticks_stones_concrete removed the final formwork and scaffold from this amazing concrete work. Also a big shout out to the team from Bluetek Waterproofing who have done a beautiful job on the deck in preparation for my new garden!

Early days still at our Holland Park West project, completed in late autumn this year. It’s already showing excellent growth and the complex drainage works have proved successful to date. A natural feel to the landscape was achieved by strategic use of large granite boulders and 30-75mm river pebble combined with mostly native plant species.

… and so our greenroof and pavilion finally comes out of the ground. Working with a fantastic team from @sticks_stones_concrete , @markthebricklayer (blockwork) and @ingineered (engineering). These guys are all thorough professionals and delightful to work with. Stay tuned for the finished result 😀

One of the benefits of our company offering quarterly garden maintenance is the opportunity to monitor the progress of our gardens and the performance of selected plants. This project in Hawthorne, completed last year, has shown remarkable growth and successful establishment of the plant palette. Beautiful architecture by @ellyett.architecture.interiors and quality craftsmanship by @riseconstructionsqld . Irrigation by @irrigationgroup

Peeling back history. Left over bricks from our house, that was built in 1963, were originally used as paving in the rear courtyard. To make way for an exciting future landscaping project (stay tuned!) we pulled up 1400 bricks and cleaned them. On Monday we ripped out the rotten timber fence and brought in the best bricklaying team in Brisbane 😀 @markthebricklayer who has built this beautiful wall for us. I’d like to think this is a pure example of sustainable design and construction #sustainabledesign #sustainablelandscape

This newly-completed small garden in New Farm is full of beautiful hardscape and planting detail, which has been executed in collaboration with @danyoungla The stunning architecture is by @kierongait architects, and has been cleverly designed to embrace the surrounding landscape on what is a typically-compact New Farm site. The streetscape has been designed to maximise interaction with the neighbourhood, while still providing security and privacy. Every aspect of this project has been enjoyable… the design and building crew and, most importantly, the clients! 😊
