I am once again active in @guildsofhistorica on Eurobricks! I have updated my cast of main characters for the launch of Book IV.

In the wilds of Avalonia’s Enchanted Forest, a mysterious woodsman named Kars has decided to settle down after several years of bounty hunting. After completing an impossible job for a very powerful Avalonian (who will go unnamed – client confidentiality is no laughing matter), he now has enough gold to build a dwelling for himself. Maybe even a fortress or settlement…
To help with him this task, he has enlisted the help of his old friend Cobold McTavish – simultaneously a brother-in-arms, master architect, and top graduate from the University of Petraea (whose colors he passionately brandishes at sporting events).
The pair have also encountered Gerard Renwick Sinclair III – a Valyrian socialite who (vain as he is) might prove helpful when establishing alliances within Avalonia and across the sea.
They are also neighbors with Fieryn – a wily inhabitant of the forest who is quick with her blades and can transform into a flaming owl. Unfortunately she can only communicate in various hoots and screeches. Kars and company will have to figure out how to breach the language barrier…
The last member of the group is Ayra Valken. A centaur from the east, she has crossed paths with Kars while on a pilgrimage to the western edge of the Enchanted Forest. Grieving the loss of a loved one, she seeks the Emerald Flame – a holy site and the location of a magical order who she hopes can help her hone her healing powers. With them, she hopes to mend the wounds of the world along with the wounds of her heart.

OR 5050 “Creamsicle” Walker
I had a lot of fun building this Sci-Fi Walker inspired by an Orange Creamsicle popsicle! I displayed it at BrickWorld Chicago earlier this year and finally got around to photographing it recently (special thanks to @_brickrad for letting me use his black backdrop)!
The real-life frozen treat has an orange-flavored exterior with a vanilla filling. I wanted to make that popsicle imagery clear, with tan (representing the popsicle stick) being surrounded by white and then orange.
The model was another opportunity for me to showcase my love for retro-futurist aesthetics. The “feet” were my favorite part to design (I loved using those orange curved 10 x 2 x 2 wedges)!

The witch offered up a local maiden to her ancient god. Nameless yet ever-watching, the tentacled monstrosity’s blinded eye and digested past victims told a story. Perhaps he was a fallen angel defeated in battle? Maybe he was always a wretched creature, eating whatever scrap worshippers threw to him. Whatever the case, all it knew now was hunger.
This is my fourth consecutive year competing in @summerjoustofficial ! I don’t do horror very often, so I wanted to try something new with the unfortunate maiden being sacrificed to this ancient abomination. You can also see a statue of the monster on the back wall!
The creature uses the head from Bionicle set 8917 Kalmah. The Barraki are my favorite Bionicle figures, so I always leap at the opportunity to incorporate any of their parts into my build! In that way, this MOC is a spiritual sequel of sorts to my “Giant Valyrian Anglerfish” build from a few years back!

BrickWorld Chicago was a blast! It was great meeting so many new people (along with reconnecting with old friends). This was my second year attending - the amount of talent on display was amazing, and I came away from the convention thoroughly inspired!

I built this microscale MOC of the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois! The center hosts BrickWorld Chicago every year - I’ll be displaying it there this weekend!
The model is (roughly) to scale with my Oregon Convention Center MOC from last month. I once again used Google Maps 3D View as my main reference, and was able to incorporate details such as the loading docks, the “halo” around the front of the building, and more! The roof lifts off to reveal the awesome MOC’s on display in the convention hall.

The convention center hosts @brickscascade every year. Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend this year - hopefully I can go next year (with this MOC in tow)!
I designed the entire MOC in BrickLink Studio, using Google Maps 3D View for reference. The LEGO Architecture line was a major source of stylistic inspiration. I was able to include a ton of small details, including the loading docks, a yellow semi-truck (represented by a 1 x 1 tile), and more!

I built this as a wedding gift for two good friends of mine! I built upon the design I used for a wedding gift I made for a different couple last year, incorporating a ring box into the base (see image 2). I shot the outdoor photos at Minto-Brown Island Park in Salem, Oregon. The groom wore a black suit, while the bride wore a Qipao at the reception (which is reflected on their respective figures).
My friends loved the gift, and used it as a cake topper at the reception! I’m honored that they invited me to be a part of their special day.

The volcanic fields of Nocturnus are home to massive beetles with thick, lava-proof exoskeletons. Daring miners will often tame these beasts and use them as steeds while searching for lava crystals. Their high market value has attracted prospective miners like Somo, a former soldier for the old regime who now mines the crystals to provide for his family.
He rides atop his loyal beetle Dynasi.

It’s been over a month since BrickWorld Chicago - what an incredible experience! There were 1800 builders with thousands of amazing creations between them all!

The Pinion-class Airspeeder is the ride of choice for intergalactic lawman Eugene Kasko. Armed with concealed blasters and capable of reaching speeds of 310 mph/500 kmh, this compact speeder shoots across alien landscapes like a dark green bullet.
Kasko’s suit allows him to survive on hostile planets and includes a HUD. Armed with a heavy duty blaster, he brings escaped criminals to justice.
