This is your sign to make lobster rolls 🦞 Summer is right around the corner, and I’m switching up my usual lobster roll routine with a warm, buttery East Coast classic. I teamed up with @sobeys because Canadian lobster season has officially washed ashore in stores, making it easier than ever to bring those seaside flavours home, even when you’re in the city. Here’s what you’ll need ⤵️ 4 Live Lobsters Compliments New England-style Hot Dog Buns Salted Butter 1 Shallot Chopped Finely Chives Coarse Salt Bring 6 litres of water to a rolling boil in a large pot with 3–4 tablespoons of coarse salt. Add the lobsters and cook for 10 minutes, then remove them. You want to undercook them as you’ll finish them on the stovetop in butter! 😉 Let them cool for 10–15 minutes. To shell your lobster, remove meat from the tail, claw, and knuckle, breaking it into bite-sized pieces. You may need seafood shears to break the shells. In a hot saucepan, melt 6 tablespoons of salted butter and sauté one minced shallot for 2–3 minutes. Stir in the lobster meat, then heat for 2 minutes to finish cooking. Toast the buttered hot dog buns on both sides, fill with warm, buttered lobster, and serve with potato chips, potato salad, or whatever floats your boat. Let’s raise a lobster roll to Sobeys for being the trusted destination for high-quality, locally sourced lobster and for supporting our local fishermen! Fresh lobsters available now at your nearest Sobeys store. #ad #SobeysPartner #lobster

Let’s celebrate Canadian lobster season with a brand new recipe!! Charred BBQ-Baked potatoes butterflied and loaded with Atlantic lobster in a delicious cheese sauce and topped with chopped chives from the garden! Support Canadian fisheries and source your high quality seafood at @sobeys Full recipe below! Cheesy Lobster-Stuffed Grilled Potatoes Hands on time: 20 minutes Total time: 1 hour 20 minutes Tip: Have the seafood clerk steam the lobsters in the store for you so all you have to do is crack them open, chop up the meat and use it in the recipe! Ingredients 2 live Canadian Atlantic lobsters, cooked (see tip), meat cleaned and chopped 4 large Yukon Gold potatoes, scrubbed and wrapped in foil 3 Tbsp unsalted butter 2 cloves of garlic, minced 2 Tbsp minced onion 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups 2% milk, warmed 2 tsp Dijon 1 1/2 cups (200 grams) grated Gruyere cheese 1 cup of grated mozzarella cheese ½ tsp salt 1 tbsp chopped parsley 4 tbsp salted butter (divided into 4 pieces) Sliced chives to garnish Directions: Preheat the grill to medium-high (about 400F). Arrange the potatoes on the grill and cook, lid closed and flipping every 15 minutes, until tender, about 1 hour. Tip: Use a sharp knife to test the doneness of the potato. Meanwhile, in a medium pot over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and onion. Cook, stirring for 30 seconds. Add flour and cook, whisking continuously, until a thick paste forms. Continue to cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in warmed milk. Add Dijon. Cook, stirring until sauce thickens, about 1 minute more. Add cheese, one cup at a time, and whisk until smooth. Remove from heat. Add salt and parsley. Stir in chopped lobster meat. Cover until serving. To serve: Slice grilled potatoes open lengthwise and add butter pieces on top. Use a fork to gently stir in the butter as it melts. Move to a serving dish or plates, spoon cheesy lobster mixture over top of potatoes, garnish with sliced chives and serve immediately. #ad #lobsterrecipes #grilling #canadiancooking #seafoodrecipes

🦞 Lobster season is finally here… so I headed into @sobeys to pick up everything I needed for this East Coast-inspired lobster club sandwich 🥪 One thing that honestly made the whole process so easy Sobeys will actually steam the lobster for you right in-store. For this sandwich, I kept it simple: Toasted brioche, Boston lettuce, cucumber, fresh dill, crispy prosciutto, creamy avocado lime mayo, and buttery garlic lobster. And trust me… when you’re working with fresh Canadian lobster, you really don’t need to overcomplicate it. This is what East Coast lobster season is all about. Fresh Canadian lobster, simple ingredients, unreal flavour. Canadian sourced seafood with Sobeys Fresh Guarantee🦞 Go check out your local @sobeys and enjoy the first lobster of the season. #SobeysPartner #ad
