Nike is releasing a Kobe 4 Protro “Draft Day” Mystery Pack, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s historic 1996 NBA Draft selection. The pack is expected to release on June 26, 2026 for $190 🐍.
The collection includes 14 Kobe 4 Protro colorways. 13 pairs represent the NBA franchises that passed on Kobe Bryant during the draft, while the 14th pair pays tribute to the Los Angeles Lakers, the team that ultimately secured his legacy.
Each pair features team-inspired color detailing connected to the teams it represents, alongside wear-away uppers designed to reveal hidden graphics and alternate layers underneath.
The 13 teams that passed on Kobe Bryant in the 1996 NBA Draft was:
1. Philadelphia 76ers, 2. Toronto Raptors, 3. Vancouver Grizzlies (now Memphis Grizzlies), 4. Milwaukee Bucks, 5. Minnesota Timberwolves, 6. Boston Celtics, 7. Los Angeles Clippers, 8.
