Lovely evening at the Norton Simon free first Fridays. They have quite a collection of classics there from Van Gogh, Picasso, Degas, Monet, Manet, Vassily Kandinsky... met up with Meta's buddy and her fam, was nice to get my mind off Luka's hamstring and our flood damaged house.

An after party ensues at the amazing Exiles Records, who happen to have a whole setup on stage, leading to an impromptu improvisational fire set. Vibes!
Day off in New Orleans and had the most delicious lunch with my big brother Michael Hect. Incredible food from award winning chef Nina Compton. First time I ever came to New Orleans was my freshman year of college when Mike invited me to Mardi Gras on a late evening and the next morning we were driving to Louisiana. It was by far the most spontaneous thing I had ever done at that point, and it was one of those forks in the road that forever changed my life for the better. Atlanta tmrw then home then S. America

It has been 20 years since the release of my debut album FLATLANDS. To celebrate, I’m reimagining the original songs in four different styles. The second of these anniversary releases is FUTURE FLATLANDS, which reflects where my sound has evolved on the latest NALEPA release CLOUDFOREST LP. Combining lush synths, heavy drums, deep bass and cinematic ambient interludes, these songs explore new sonic territory across multiple movements.
