Welcome, Sophie Meyerhoff @smyff
Sophie Meyerhoff lives and works in Berlin as an illustrator and comic artist. She loves everything to do with theatre and is regularly involved in theatre productions. This involves spending time in workshops building stage sets or puppets, drawing posters or developing shadow plays or animations. Thanks to a scholarship, she has just spent a year working on her graphic novel: an eco-thriller in which (not only) an entire forest rebels against its exploitation by a dubious cosmetics company. She also records everyday adventures in diary drawings, is very interested in dreams and is always on the lookout for weird and unusual stories that can be captured in comics.
She loves spending time drawing on the island of Rügen with her friends, pole dancing, or investing in her newly founded self-publishing company, NoPressure Comics.
If you want to make her happy, just bring her a Kinder Surprise egg.
Sophie Meyerhoff lebt und arbeitet in Berlin als Illustratorin und Comic-Zeichnerin. Sie liebt alles was mit Theater zu tun hat und ist immer wieder in Theaterproduktionen involviert. Dafür steht sie dann in Werkstätten und baut Bühnenbilder oder Puppen, zeichnet Plakate oder entwickelt Schattenspiele oder Animationen. Grade konnte sie dank einem Stipendium ein Jahr lang an ihrer Graphic Novel zeichnen: Ein Öko-Thriller, in dem sich (nicht nur) ein ganzer Wald aufbäumt gegen seine Ausbeutung durch einen dubiosen Kosmetikonzern. Nebenher hält sie alltägliche Abenteuer in Tagebuchzeichnungen fest, interessiert sich sehr für Träume und ist immer auf der Suche nach schrägen und außergewöhnlichen Geschichten, die in Comics festgehalten werden können.
Am liebsten verbringt sie zeichnend Zeit auf Rügen mit ihren Freundinnen, an der Pole-Stange oder investiert in den frisch geggründeten Eigenverlag NoPressure Comics.
Wenn man ihr eine Freude machen will, bringt man einfach ein Überraschungsei mit.
