Ok I’m emotionally ready to spend more money on the Monte Carlo. It’s very dusty from sitting, the paint is actually spectacular. Paint, body and interior are the only elements that were done right. It goes into the shop in May.
Putting the Chevy Astro vent to the test. 97 degrees out, 101 octane in the tank, windows up, AC on r12 cranking the cubes while ZZ Top plays on the 8 track. The caprice ran like a champ.

First day with the @springfieldarmoryinc xdm elite 3.8” 10mm since I got it back from @spartangunsmith who installed every single @powder_river_precision part made for this sucker.

I was shooting @underwoodammo 180 grain range ammo and at 1250 fps it’s real 10mm and definitely prepares you for the recoil of defensive/hunting ammo. I made sure my zero was accurate with what I’ll actually be carrying the 155 grain xtp. The recoil was actually lighter with that but it is definitely louder.

thank you @nathan_spartanarms at @spartanarmslv for tracking one of these down for me. I don’t know why Springfield stopped making this gun, maybe the 9 milluminati got to them. I think the only compact 10mm’s left are the Glock and the sig x10 comp. The Glock is one of the worst ergonomically made pistols with a grip like a piece of lumber and the x 10 is a 320. Not sure how anyone feels about that pointed at your sensitive parts all day.

@trijicon rmr hd optic because I love trijicon but also it’s a 10mm so I wasn’t going to compromise on durability. I’m still undecided on the circle dot, I think it’s the same problem I have with eotechs on 30 caliber. There’s a lot dancing around and it gets distracting. But the circle can be turned off or made dimmer than the dot, I just didn’t experiment.However I started in bright sunlight and shot until the sun set and the automatic brightness is the best I’ve ever experienced.

Awesome day at Luke Airforce base! Got to hang out on the tower catwalk and watch some F35s take off. Toured the jets, ate some Hamburgers and got to hang out in the wolves den with some amazing pilots and drink @smokewagonwhiskey

One day, two events and it’s passed my bedtime. Just wrapped up the @cigaraficionado spirits and cigars event which was a good one. Met a lot of great people and we had a line at our booth all night. Tomorrow I’m back on the beach for day two.
