Blending heritage with handcrafted performance, the kitchen now features a stunning ILVE Majestic 36” Dual Fuel Range in White with Brass trim, perfectly at home in its refined new surroundings.
Between original heart pine floors, non-plumb walls, and preserved period details, this was far from a standard install.
But the result? Absolutely breathtaking!
The team at @smithhallstudio orchestrated a brilliant balance of restoration and reinvention, brought to life with custom cabinetry by @platowoodwork and the expert touch of @alchemy_restoration .

As big things begin to unfold in 2026, I’m looking back at photos from this last annual trip to France, and I found it sort of funny that my sense of fashion is so bright and full of pattern and texture, while my architectural aesthetic leans more minimal, natural, and neutral.
I’m thinking a lot about my design principles these days. Why I design things the way I do, how I approach reconfiguring the spaces we live our lives in, and what materials, colors, and textures I gravitate towards. All these things will come together the way I’m hoping they’re about to so you can see, feel, touch, and experience it all for yourself. 😏
