The annual Interschool Chess Tournament was held on March 8, 2026, at the Gros Islet Human Resource Center.
Five teams of three Samarians proudly represented Saint Mary’s College at this year’s event.

Team 5.... Keymani St. John, Michael St. Omer, Andretti George
Team 1 emerged as Inter school champs, with D’yorni and Rylan getting perfect scores overall. Andre won four out of his six games.
Kudos to the entire team!!!!!!! They all deserve to be applauded. SMC has now been crowned the Chess Champions for the fourth consecutive year!!

This week the members of the St Mary’s College Student Council engaged in an informative two-day training workshop. It was a great opportunity for students to better understand their roles as student leaders, the significance of a student council and student representation and how to effect meaningful change.
Members and interested students attended a Public Speaking Workshop, led by Samarian Sherlon Leon. During the exciting session, the students learned a few keys to help improve their confidence and impact while speaking publicly. It was the perfect way to start off the new school term for the club.
