Hellooo everyone!! I’m very excited to share the vinyl track list for my upcoming record No Summer:) The whole record is an adventure so here’s a rough sonic map. I’ll start talking a lot more about it all bc it’s coming out on SEPTEMBER 6th which is actually SO SOON so be prepared but in the meantime enjoy these random song names and get ready for them to hopefully not be so random to you very soon! I’m beyond excited to announce that I’ll be self releasing my first record “No Summer” on September 6th. It’ll come out on my own label, Aloha Soul Disques. You can pre order a vinyl copy now in my bio:) My new tune “How Come?” is out today too, enjoy!! It’s quite surreal to arrive at this point in time. I’m 24 and have been letting music more or less guide me through my entire life. It’s brought me from my home on the island of Kaua’i to a new home in London. I’ve never quite been able to shake the vast difference of these two environments. I’ve always been infatuated with the music that each place evokes, how the sounds blend, where they clash up against each other and what’s left in the negative twilight space between. My record, No Summer, is a personal dive into those worlds. I make music for my own aesthetic pleasure, it’s a lot of fun that way and I’m deeply satisfied to have these songs all flow together. I can’t wait to have it all out in the world, thank you for all the love so far!! I’ll also be joining my brother @thedeclanmckenna for a couple of his UK summer shows, I cannot wait:) it’ll be a party! Thank you amore @niluferyanyaaaaaa for taking photos of me and helping me find an album cover😘

A bunch of birds woke me up early this morning and it reminded me of this moment a little while back when I was playing guitar outside and this Shama bird started going off while I was playing, I had my phone recording so I just kept playing but I couldn’t figure out how to end the progression and then finally the Shama, in perfect time, totally queued the ending and called the outro of the tune and I followed along. I had the whole thing recorded so then I just added some bass and a couple other instruments. If you listen to the end you’ll hear what I’m referring to, the link is in my stories🐦‍⬛plenty chickens were singing along too but that’s a bit more common
