Recently, @anna.sushko.ua and I had the opportunity to attend a private viewing of the exhibition “David Hockney: A Year in Normandie and Some Other Thoughts About Painting” at the Serpentine North Gallery in London — an event organized by invitation from @mikebloomberg and @bloombergdotorg . Meetings like these always remind me that art is a universal language through which societies reflect on time, identity, and the future. It is around culture that such intellectual environments take shape, places where new ideas are born and where trust and dialogue between people, companies, and countries develop. My sincere thanks to the @bloomberg team for many years of fruitful cooperation, for the opportunity to be part of such a community, and to grow together. Підтримка незалежної Української Церкви є частиною важливої роботи над збереженням цінностей, які об’єднують суспільство й формують наше майбутнє. З Різдвом Христовим! I sincerely thank His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphany of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, for the high distinction of the Order of Saint Nicholas. I also thank him for the warm meeting on Christmas Eve. For me, this is an important sign of appreciation for our shared work and charitable initiatives aimed at supporting the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, both in Ukraine and abroad. I am also grateful to Metropolitan Yevstratii of Bila Tserkva for participating in the meeting and for the meaningful conversation. During our discussion, we addressed the development of the chaplaincy mission of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which cares for Ukrainians who have been forced to relocate to Cyprus, as well as the growth of philanthropy and charitable initiatives in Ukraine and internationally. Supporting an independent Ukrainian Church is part of a broader effort to preserve the values that unite society and shape our future. Merry Christmas!

Recently, we held a Christmas concert for the fourth time, bringing together Ukrainian and international communities in Cyprus. For me, it is not only about Christmas, but also about identity – the opportunity to speak to the world through Ukrainian music, share Leontovych’s Shchedryk, and present our cultural heritage as part of Ukraine’s contribution to global culture. This is cultural diplomacy in action: through meaning, respect, and human connection. I was especially honored by the presence of our distinguished guests: Cyprus Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, @alexis_vafeades ; Larnaca District Organization Governor, @angeloshadjicharalambous ; Deputy Mayor of Larnaca, @iasonasiasonidescy ; Mayor of Pyla, Simos Mitidis; as well as other representatives of the authorities and the diplomatic corps. Their support for Ukraine and its people is deeply meaningful. It was also particularly meaningful that the work of @obiimy.cyprus was recognized as an important contribution to the city’s cultural development and as part of Larnaca’s journey toward the title of European Capital of Culture 2030. Moments like this confirm that culture creates space for dialogue, trust, and partnership beyond borders. 🇺🇦 Днями відбувся Різдвяний концерт, який ми вчетверте організовуємо для української та міжнародної спільноти на Кіпрі. Для мене це не лише про Різдво, а й про ідентичність — про можливість у світі говорити мовою української музики, показувати Щедрик Леонтовича й культурні здобутки як частину нашої історії та внеску в світову культуру. Саме так працює культурна дипломатія: через зміст, повагу й живий контакт. Для мене була важливою присутність почесних гостей: Міністра транспорту, зв’язку і праці Кіпру, Губернатора Ларнаки, заступника мера Ларнаки, мера Піли та інших представників влади й дипломатичного корпусу. Слова підтримки України та українців, які пролунали з їхнього боку, мають значення. Окремо цінно, що діяльність центру @obiimy.cyprus була відзначена як частина шляху до того, що Ларнака отримала статус Європейської столиці культури 2030. Культура створює простір для діалогу, довіри й партнерства незалежно від кордонів.

Our partnership with @bloomberg has already lasted for many years. In recent years, Bloomberg has provided exceptional support to Ukrainian businesses, from special cooperation terms to initiatives within the company itself. Last week, I had the honor of meeting the company’s founder, the legendary Michael Bloomberg. We spoke about Ukraine, about supporting and developing Ukrainian business, and about the strength of partnership. As a sincere token of gratitude, I had the privilege of presenting Mr. Bloomberg with a piece of Ukrainian traditional art – an Opishnia horse from the Poltava region. In Ukrainian culture, the horse symbolizes strength, nobility, and the pursuit of freedom. The loyal companion of the Ukrainian Cossack. This artwork is a part of a living culture that continues to fight for its existence. Right next to the future rehabilitation center we began building a few days ago is the maternity hospital where I was born. This land quite literally gave me life, and I believe it would be unfair and ungrateful not to give something back to it.⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ In Kozelshchyna, our Smart Prostir is already up and running, but beyond culture and education, there are other areas that need support, and healthcare is one of the most critical. We spent a long time consulting with the community and doctors. Our goal was to find a solution that would stand the test of time and make the most of our experience. And we found it – a modern, inclusive, functional center where veterans, stroke survivors, and people recovering from injuries can regain their health with dignity, close to home.⁣⁣⠀ I believe projects like this are not just about putting up walls. They’re about gratitude. About creating an environment that says: “You matter to us.”⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ 🇺🇦Поруч із майбутнім новим реабілітаційним відділенням, яке ми днями почали будувати, стоїть пологовий будинок, у якому я народився. Мене буквально народила ця земля, і я вірю, що несправедливо й невдячно було б не зробити для неї щось у відповідь.⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ В Козельщині вже працює наш @smart_prostir , але окрім культури та освіти ще є сфери, що потребують підтримки і медицина – одна з таких чутливих сфер. Ми довго радилися з громадою та лікарями, щоб знайти рішення, яке буде працювати на роки вперед й дозволить застосувати весь наш досвід. І знайшли його – сучасне, безбар’єрне, функціональне відділення, де військові, люди після інсультів і травм зможуть відновлюватися гідно, близько до дому.⁣⁣⠀ Я вірю, що такі проєкти – це не просто про будівництво стін. Це про вдячність. Про середовище, яке говорить: «Ти нам важливий».

My first visit to #Davos left me with not only lasting impressions but also interesting insights into the city’s business model. During the week of the World Economic Forum, Davos transforms into a global hub for discussions, networking, and deal-making. Yet, what’s even more fascinating is how the city monetizes this process. Instead of building a massive exhibition center, Davos makes use of its existing infrastructure. Shops, hotels, and restaurants become temporary pavilions where companies, funds, and governments set up their spaces. The streets are packed with events, while private initiatives create a decentralized, alternative forum. This smart, flexible model allows the city to make the most of an intense but short period. This approach fosters connections, enhances the atmosphere, and grants more people access to global events. For one week, Davos becomes the center of the world. Given that the World Economic Forum is not the only major event here, this strategy fully leverages the city’s economic specialization, turning a town of just 10,000 into a powerful global brand. A model worth learning from. 🇺🇦Мій перший візит до Давосу залишив не лише враження, а й цікаві спостереження про бізнес-модель міста. Під час Світового економічного форуму Давос стає глобальним майданчиком для дискусій, нетворкінгу та угод, але особливо цікаво, як він монетизує цей процес. Замість будівництва виставкового центру місто використовує власну інфраструктуру: магазини, готелі, ресторани перетворюються на презентаційні хаби для компаній, фондів і урядів. Вулиці заповнені подіями, а приватні ініціативи фактично формують альтернативний, децентралізований форум. Це гнучкий, розумний підхід, що дозволяє регіону отримувати максимум вигоди з короткого, але надзвичайно насиченого тижня. Такий підхід посилює атмосферу, зв’язки і залучає ще більше людей. А місту дає можливість на тиждень стати майже центром світу. Мені сподобалось це рішення. Враховуючи те, що ВЕФ – не єдина подія в Давосі, ця бізнес-модель по максимуму експлуатує та реалізовує свою економічну спеціалізацію, створюючи міцний світовий бренд міста з населенням 10 тисяч. Треба брати за приклад.

Probably one of the best places to keep a finger on the pulse of the world. This year’s theme — “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age” — resonates with me on a deep level. Understanding the changes that await us in the coming years and finding my place in them is the plan for the next few days. У нас так часто буває: те, що починалося як невеликий виступ українських музикантів в одній із галерей острова, вчора зайняло найбільшу залу Ларнаки.⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ Вкотре переконуюсь: бути разом – одна за найважливіших цінностей людства. Разом – це коли один плюс один більше, ніж два. Разом – це родина, команда, громада, оркестр, нація. It’s a familiar story for us: what began as a small performance by Ukrainian musicians in one of the island’s galleries has now taken over Larnaca’s largest hall.⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ Yet again, I see that the power of being together is one of humanity’s greatest values. Togetherness means that one plus one is more than two. Togetherness is family, a team, a community, an orchestra, a nation. Together, we amplify each other and become our best selves.⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ As Ukrainian and Cypriot musicians performed yesterday, and the audience blended a large Ukrainian community, diplomats from around the globe, and officials dancing alongside children, it truly felt like we united the entire world.⁣⁣⠀ I am endlessly grateful to everyone who made last night possible. Today marks the birthday of our composer, Mykola Leontovych, the creator of the renowned «Shchedryk.» This adds a touch of magic to yesterday’s emotions — a magic, I am certain, that is created by people.

The first unit was launched during the first year of the full-scale invasion at IPOG, where newborns have been receiving life-saving care for two years now.⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ Ukrainian doctors – skilled, dedicated, and exceptionally strong – deserve facilities that allow them to perform at the highest professional level. The newly renovated space is equipped with cutting-edge technology to ensure maximum comfort for both patients and medical staff. I believe that true wealth lies in communities. Recently, we presented our new company, Founders Development. For me, this is not just the launch of a new company — it’s the beginning of a long journey where we will rethink the concept of construction. I am sure that development today is not only about building but also about creating communities. This is our goal. For the first time, together with our partners, Oppenheim Architecture, we presented our first major project in Cyprus — the Smartland Villa Community. In the context of the Smartland project, we demonstrated how new technologies can go hand in hand with respect for cultural heritage. This approach is based on co-creation with local communities, architects, historians, and environmentalists. Cyprus, with its rich cultural heritage and unique geographical location, is the perfect foundation for developing projects like Smartland. I’m excited to start this new journey! Радію бути на малій батьківщині, це завжди спонукає до нових думок та цікавих розмов. Днями мав теплу зустріч з громадою Козельщини в Смарт Просторі – місці, яке ми з любовʼю створюємо вже чотири роки. Говорили про інвестиції в себе, власний розвиток та секрети успіху, в яких немає ніякого секрету, але завжди є привід подумати та щось покращити в житті. Про чесність та авторську позицію — ця частина дискусії була особливо цікавою, щось зачепила в кожному з нас. Дуже вдячний за цю надихаючу розмову! Про важливість середовища я зрозумів доволі давно й це безповоротно вплинуло на моє життя. Саме тому, як тільки в мене з’явилася можливість, я почав створювати середовища. Такі, що змінюють, створюють можливості та розвивають. Вкотре переконався, що @smart_prostir вдається.

Посилювати українство де б ми не були – одна з задач, які я ставлю перед своєю діяльністю. Минулого тижня, разом з Посольством України на Кіпрі відкрили ще один аудіогід – тепер українською заговорила галерея Левентіса в Нікосії. Тут одна з найбільших колекцій мистецтва на острові, запрошую всіх відвідати. Впевнений, що такі проєкти допомагають українській мові та культурі зайняти своє гідне місце в світі.
