We love working with our friends and this season we got to collaborate on not one but three pieces with our very dear and talented friend
@que_vz . Based in New York but currently living and working in Miami, Juan is an incredible painter and true artist in every sense of the word. He’s also an amazing surfer and is beloved by everyone here in the New York/Rockaway surf scene.
We worked closely with Juan and, together, went through his journals and sketchbooks spanning the last 10 years or so to create a vibrant collage of scanned pages that include everything from drawings and magazine cutouts to found string and fruit stickers. Printed on 12 oz brushed bull denim, we used this printed denim to make a jean cut trouser, a baggy jean cut short and a utility tote. We are blessed to know Juan and are incredibly grateful to him for sharing his artwork with us for this collection. Thank you, Juan!
