Small Ops!!
FLDPLN here. Long time, friends and I hope you and your loved ones are all happy and well! If you’re seeing this, you’ve likely noticed that Small Operations has been...umm, missing. A couple of reasons, but before that let me express how absolutely honored I am to have been able to geek-out with you guys about the TE stuff that we love. I’m touched that so many of you enjoyed listening to the Small Ops. So where the %$&! have I been?? I’ve been back to making my own music, and just finished an album called Escalator. I’m so excited to share it with you guys! Small Operations has been a huge inspiration to me and it’s been a pleasure celebrating and sharing the art you guys have made with TE instruments. I’ve heard so many kind, encouraging things from so many of you. I’m so grateful. As I was doing the show, I released just how much I needed to get back to making my own music. There’s not much time to for me to spare in this phase of my life, so I’m doing what I can to keep being positive and creative, and making my own music is really important to me in the same way it is to you. As far as the podcast goes, I recognize that Teenage Engineering, Tobias and the crew have really enhanced their community presence with the Midnight Operator (Operations) episodes, and while yes, there’s room for tons of TE related content, I can sense a need for TE to take the lead in that position…as a fan and user, I’m here for it!
As many of you know, I’m a sax player, and I FULLY intend to sax-flip TE-based IG jams that you guys come up with. I’ll get your permissions first. :)
If you’ve enjoyed what I’ve done with Small Operations, I hope you’ll support my personal music as well, if you dig it of course. I would love to be a more musical part of the TE community. I’m a #teoperator like you guys.
My album coming later this month is mostly OP-Z and OP-1 generated sounds, my voice, and my horn. Follow me @fldpln which is where I’ll be featuring vids with TE peeps who are down to jam!

Small Ops! I’ve been on a little “summer break” from the show. *Don’t worry, I’m not done!!* It’s been a super fun year now of Small Operations, listening to so much amazing music, and in that time, the podcast has been really my primary (only?) creative outlet, and I’m hoping to take some time to hopefully do more of my own music and do some road trips with the fam. So, new episodes of Small Operations soon. Until then, keep making music, being inspired, and please continue to be safe, stay socially distant, and wear a mask when anywhere near others!
