This devil wears… Louis Vuitton 😂 Tonight’s luxury items included: • a shawl my mum made from $30 Spotlight fabric • jeans from “some online store I can’t remember” • a 25+ year old Louis Vuitton bag handed down from my cousin (you know who you are 💌) that I still treasure two decades later • and $30 Gold Class tickets because we are all Small Ideas members and simply refuse to pay full price 🤑 If you’re a Small Ideas member too, you’re part of this elite group of parents who occasionally put themselves first… but mostly spend all their love, time and money on their kids 🤍 Make use of the Village Flash Sale and enjoy $30 Gold Class tickets valid any day, any movie 🎬 Tonight we’re dressed in uncomfortable shoes, eating slowly, sipping Prosecco and pretending to be sophisticated women… Tomorrow we’ll be back cutting sandwiches into triangles 😂 #MelbourneMums #GirlsNightOut #GoldClass #SmallIdeasMelbourne #MelbourneLife MumsNightOut

Which one to visit? 👇🏼 I went to all 3 Victorian zoos so you don’t have to figure it out yourself. Here’s the lay of the land 🦖 First up - the closest one to where you live is always going to win, but if you’re travelling further, here’s how they compare because each zoo has different dinosaur species on display so no two experiences are the same. 🦖 Melbourne Zoo - nice and central with 30+ dinosaurs but the trail is on the shorter side and less interactive. Still worth it for the baby snow leopards, giraffes, meerkats, pygmy hippo and lemurs while you’re there, plus my kids love the play areas. Also very accessible via public transport. 🦒 Werribee Open Range Zoo - my personal fave and where I’d send anyone who wants a full day out. 14 dinos along the Wirribi Yulluk Trail with volcanoes erupting, dinos spitting and roaring, a dino dig, explorer tent and play zone. Then stay for the free 40 min safari bus, elephant trail, hippo beach and lion cubs. It’s a lot and in the best way. 🌿 Healesville Sanctuary - the quietest and most beautiful, set deep in the bush with soft roars through the trees. 14 dinos winding through the bush, a big sandpit, dome egg hatchery and daily keeper talks. Hit a Yarra Valley winery on the way home like Boat O’Craigo or Hubert Estate and you’ve got a cracking day sorted. 💡 All three have Dino Doze from 9-10am daily - no roars or movement, great for sensory needs or little ones. 🌅 Werribee may bring back Dinos After Dark but no date has been announced yet… Each zoo has dino packs and toys on sale too - just a heads up for your wallet 😂 🗓️ Now until Sunday 12 July 2026 🕘 Daily 9am - 5pm 🎟️ Adults from $54.50 👶 Under 4s free 👧 Under 15s free weekends, school holidays and public holidays - or $28.50 weekdays 💳 Membership $12.42/month - kids free (teachers and students $9/m) 💸 Save on tickets with @smallideas 🫶 Visited as members @zoosvictoria Which one is your favourite or which one are you checking out? The more a mum enjoys motherhood… the more a child enjoys childhood. 🤍 That first photo is me at four years old — in a ball pit with my mum… which, looking back, feels like a premonition for the life I’d end up living 😂 My mum still answers my calls every single time I need her — and trust me… there are a lot of calls. She’s never once asked for a container back either… and I’ve probably accumulated hundreds at this point. My sister is another kind of mum — one of the best. She treats my kids like her own and shows up instantly (which, when raising a teenager… is everything). I get stressed. I get snappy. I yell more than I’d like. But watching these back… I hope what my kids remember most is the happy version of me. The one who tried. The one who showed up. The one who did everything she could to make their world feel safe, fun and full of love. And when I forget and need a reminder I look to this quote **“The more a mum enjoys motherhood… the more a child enjoys childhood. 🤍 save it in your notes like I do for when you need a reminder. Happy Mother’s Day to my own mum — who I still need every single day — and to every woman here who is a mum, missing a mum, or being one in her own way 🤍 #Motherhood #melbournemums #memes

Top Fun Kids Cafe Where parents can relax, eat and chat or join their kids with a variety of imaginative play. Small Ideas receive 20% off entry each month for up to 4 kids and adults free. So if you aren’t a member yet head to link in bio. Location Burwood One Shopping centre, I travelled 35min to get here and well worth it. Well suited for smaller children up to 6 I would say but each child is different. The video says it all, it’s hands down one of the best play spaces for toddlers we have ever been to. Small but so effective ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #melbournewithkids #play #melbourne #mums #burwood

Bounce are back!!!! So excited to share that Bounce have opened their 11th location in Fountain Gate. Small Ideas members now have a special offering for our community that delivers value, fun & is available at all locations anytime! The offering will deliver the most benefits during peak times which are weekends and school holidays and you can use for Adults or Child tickets as many times as you like. What I love about the Bounce brand is that each location is a bit different so if I want a quick win I go to my local but if we want a new adventure we will explore a Bounce location farther out and know it’ll never disappoint. #melbournewithkids #bounce #fun #melbourne #budgetfriendly

FAMILY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES FOR UNDER $40 🎬 We had a date night planned… and Jack jumped in the car 😂 Some things never change — I’ve got photos of him doing the exact same thing 10 years ago. But I will say this… There are SO many good movies on right now and I’ve had a huge surge in my Village Cinemas ticket sales this week. And honestly… I get why. 📍 Coburg Drive-In Theatre • Kids up to 14 = FREE • Adults discounted with Small Ideas tickets • Sit in the car or bring chairs + blankets • Bring your own food or grab something there • Playground = easy win It’s simple, affordable, and one of those nights the kids actually remember. AND… little insider tip 👀 I’ve got a Gold Class flash offer coming just in time for Mother’s Day — so if you’re thinking of doing something for yourself (or dropping a hint 😏)… keep an eye out. If you haven’t been in a while — go. And if you came from another member… thank them for me 💕 SAVE this for your next family night 🎬 #melbournemums #familydayoutmelbourne #melbournekids #thingstodomelbourne #smallideasmelbourne

If you’re planning a family holiday and don’t want to spend a fortune… look at Cairns. We did 3 nights, 2 full days and saved $$$ just on 2 activities through Small Ideas. What I loved: ✔️ Less busy than Gold Coast/Bali ✔️ So many kid-friendly activities ✔️ Everything close and easy What I’d do differently: Skip hotel breakfast — better (and cheaper) cafes nearby There’s still so much we didn’t get to — Fitzroy Island, Skyrail, Kuranda, Aquarium… all discounted inside Small Ideas. We’ll be back. 👇 if you have any questions feel welcome to drop in comments or DM me? #familyholidayideas #cairnsaustralia #melbournemums #familytravel budgetfamilytravel thingstodomelbourne schoolholidayideas australianfamilies travelwithkids smallideas

Dinos have officially taken over the zoos 🦖👇🏽 And Werribee is the one you want to plan a day around! It’s way more interactive and the kids are IN it the whole time. The Dinos are along the Wirribi Yulluk Trail (about 10–15 min walk from the front near the playground). Here’s what to expect: 🌋 Volcanoes erupting 🦖 Dinosaurs “spitting”, roaring f and moving ⛏️ Dino dig + explorer tent 🌿 Dino play zone + fairy houses 🌉 Boardwalk trail It’s a 600m trail (about 20 mins) but allow closer to an hour so the kids can actually explore everything properly. 💡 Tip: 9–10am is Dino Doze hour so no loud sounds or movement… perfect if you’ve got little ones or sensory needs After that, everything comes to life from 10am–4:30pm (last entry 4pm) And while you’re there 👇🏽 🚌 Hop on the FREE 40 min safari bus 🦁 Keep an eye out for the new lion cubs who are roaming in the mornings 🐘 Walk the elephant trail (3 calves on the way!) Dinos are also now at Melbourne Zoo and Healesville too, but Werribee is definitely the most hands-on one. 📍 Werribee Open Range Zoo 🗓️ 3 April – 12 July 🕘 9am–5pm 🎟️ Adults from $54.50 👶 Under 4 free 👧 Under 15 free weekends & school holidays or $28.50 weekdays 💳 Membership from $12.42/month (kids free) 💸 Save on tickets with @smallideas 🫶🏼 Visited as members @zoosvictoria Save this for your next zoo day 🦖👇🏽 #melbournewithkids #thingstodomelbourne #schoolholidayfun #werribeezoo #dinosaurs
