The chosen space was the cloister —a 17th–18th-century structure that lived through splendour, destruction and later reconstruction. Entering its walls brings us closer to what it might have been to experience this space in its peak, while its present form still carries the quiet trace of what was lost. A live light performance adds an additional visual layer. Soft orange tones illuminate the corridors, evoking the nocturnal atmosphere of the piece and the memory of past destruction, while the illuminated tower stands as a distant beacon —a symbol of endurance and hope. The sound design for this piece, generated through improvised patching on the Eurorack, is profound and dark —built from cold, atmospheric textures that lean toward ambient, drone and experimental territories. For the first location of the project, we chose the forest outside the Monastery — the place where the story begins, beyond the walls. Nature becomes the first protagonist, before the stones were ever raised. Fallen leaves covered the ground in a thick layer, embodying the passage of time through nature — in contrast with the sunset: the most beautiful moment of the day, yet also the last before dusk.
