‘Queen Mary’ by Francine Thirteen (the inimitable) is now available on Bandcamp as a re-mastered release.
I’m so proud of this record and what we created. It’s been a pleasure to watch it take on a life of it’s own since we released it. Soon I’ll do a write up on the whole interesting story.
In the meantime you can head straight to Francine’s Bandcamp (link in bio) and score yourself a fresh copy.

‘In Waves - Slow Hand Version’ with @mendeleyev is out now as part of the ‘In Waves (Collaborations)’ album.
When Lev invited me to participate I knew almost immediately that it was going to involve strings because they would be able to embody the lyrics of Lev’s beautiful song. To have the form represent the greater message and meaning. I’m so proud of how this turned out.
At one point there was a version of this that was going to be a celestial Alice Coltrane orchestra. Then I realized that the deadline (and budget) didn’t allow for cosmic scale expression. So string quartet it was.
Shoutout to everyone who has contributed to this project. The roster is stacked!

‘Black Smoke Rising’ out today. And tomorrow. And the following day. Link in bio.
Like most of my favorite ideas this one started in the bath. I had a strong vision of a dancer pushing themselves to the point of combustion and filling the room with noxious black smoke, so I spent 30 min writing the lyrics in the tub and then went to sleep.
The next morning I woke up, put my phone on silent and laid down the instrumental and vocals in an afternoon. I mixed it the following day and that was that. Nice and easy. Sometimes you get lucky.

I am so proud to announce that my track ‘Blood Oranges’ has been selected for inclusion in @jukebouncewerk ‘s annual JBDUB compilation, and it’s out today. Not only that, but I got THE OPENING SLOT to kick off the record! (links in bio)
To say that I am honored or delighted is an understatement. When I moved to Los Angeles five years ago @jukebouncewerk were one of the first pockets of amazing music that I was introduced to. I had no frame of reference for the music, but the energy of their events blew me away. The music, creativity and excellent people made their impact on me. I have fond memories from those early days of everyone being packed into the Tokyo Beat. I can still see the dancers cut it up in the circle to the crew spinning amazing records on a great system while I stuffed my face full of super-spicy ramen. Good memories.
Now, to have my music featured among so many talented producers from around the world and who I admire is a fantastic feeling and a satisfying arc for my journey in LA. Here’s to the future.
Shoutout to @jukebouncewerk for curating the most exciting records. They’re hosting their last major event of the year next week on Dec 23rd. Go get your tickets and then come get your body pummeled by bass and celebrate the music. See y’all there.

'Tomorrow Is Going to Hurt' out now wherever anxiety-inducing records are sold. (Read: bio link).
Ok. What even is this record? I've had to classify it's genre on many websites and I STILL don't know where to place it. What do you think? Might as well close my eyes and pick at this point. That's the life of a creative; half your effort goes into creating something new and the other half is spent finding ways to explain the thing after the fact. That's the deal.
So what can I tell you about this record? This one began life as soundtrack to a film scene of a ragged footrace between two women; one doggedly pursuing the other across ten city blocks. Running, climbing, crashing, sweating, panting. It was pretty animal. Unfortunately you can't see the footage, but we've got the music to take over in it's stead.
There's a real pleasure in making these musical pocket universes. Unique worlds that are fully fleshed-out for the three minutes of their existence. Half of the fun is coming up with new combinations and swinging hard for the fences. That said, you should hire me to score your film and we can have some real fun.
