We did it. My short film “Go Forward” premiered at the Sun Valley Film Festival @sunvalleyfilmfest last weekend… and we walked away with the Audience Award for Best Short. 🙏🏾💙 This story is personal on a different level. It’s pain, it’s love, it’s family, it’s faith… it’s the journey of learning how to keep going when life hits you with the unthinkable. If this film can help ONE person push through their storm, then we did our job 🙏🏾 To TJ, Peter, Sam & Joe y’all are the team behind this that made this thing real. The way you directed, produced, shaped, and protected this story means more than you know. Thank you for treating my family’s truth with care. I appreciate each of you And a big big shout out to my pops!!! You’ve shown me what real strength looks like from day one. Thank you for leading our family, for holding us together, and for being the best dad in the world ❤️ This isn’t just my story. Last night at @sunvalleyfilmfest was pure magic. RISE screened alongside the remarkable Isaiah Thomas’ @isaiahthomas moving tribute to his sister, GO FORWARD, a film built on courage, grief, and the relentless heart of an athlete who keeps choosing to push forward. Isaiah’s tribute to his sister is extraordinary. It takes real strength to turn grief into something that can lift others, and GO FORWARD does exactly that. It’s a film about perseverance, about choosing to keep moving when life breaks you open. Isaiah is an incredible athlete, NBA All-Star, and an even more incredible human, but his vulnerability and strength as a storyteller and role model are what truly floored me. His film is a reminder that sharing our pain can become someone else’s hope. Thank you, Isaiah, and your family, for sharing your heart so bravely. Massive shoutout to the phenomenal team behind the film @petercambor @samwiddoes @teejayregan @slowgrind 💙 And thank you @sunvalleyfilmfest for creating such a special space for these stories.
