Slow Moves 002 : Kathy Acker with Nox - Pre-orders coming this spring 2023 for the second release, a restored reissue on vinyl of the 1987 piece, ‘Love,Emily’ by Kathy Acker and Nox. Originally released in France in 50 copies, the tape produced by Michel Henritzi features a 25 minutes long collage of spoken word and noise saturations, intersecting two radical voices from literature and experimental music of the time : that of American author Kathy Acker reading excerpts from her book ‘My Death My Life by Pier Paolo Pasolini’, and Nox, mainstay of the French industrial scene. A trove of reproduced letters and photographs taken during the collaboration will be inserted in each vinyl. Working on our next project, a re-release on vinyl of the 1987 sound piece ‘Love, Emily’ by Kathy Acker and Nox, originally published by French label AKT in a small run of 50 tapes. The vinyl will feature the entire sound piece, along with additional material, Polaroids and letters exchanged between the late experimental writer Kathy Acker and AKT founder/musician michelhenritzi. Click the link in bio. Christina Vantzou’s album Releasing Spores presents a cast of elements that reveal vignettes of experimentation set within a curious locale. The thirty-four minutes of music perform the creation of a sporic language evolved from field recordings, organic instruments, and synthesized elements. Minimal melodic themes recur to ground each of the nine songs as the parallel parts of a form. A soundtrack of events, composed and delivered as a documentary about a place, communicates an environment that's been thoughtfully tuned in and revealed. Vantzou’s ambient languages inhabit the air, releasing tones that buoyantly float, drift, and settle upon the ground, to then fluently grow. These are compositions that witness the formation of a thinking place where ideas reflect and converse. It is the sound of an element enunciating while gliding through an atmosphere; multiplying into fields of little voices to imagine an avant-garde play in the emerald glow of night.
