Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms! This Mother’s Day, we’re honoring the women who’ve helped shape the understanding of the universe. From: 🚀 Mae Jemison 🚀 Sally Ride 🚀 Katherine Johnson …and so many more. They didn’t just dream of space; they helped us get there. 👇 Tag a mom (or mentor) who inspires you to explore, question, and discover. #MothersDay #Slooh

Remember when this happened… time capsule vibes! In June 2011, when the Earth cast its shadow across the Moon for 100 minutes, Google and Slooh collaborated to bring the spectacle live to the world. The result: a special Google Doodle that updated in real-time using images captured by Slooh’s telescopes, turning a global event into a shared moment of wonder. ✨ Looking back at this collaboration reminds us that our mission to make space accessible to everyone has always been rooted in connection, discovery, and the belief that exploration belongs to all of us. #AstronomyForAll #LunarEclipse #SpaceDiscovery #Slooh #GoogleDoodle #StargazingCommunity

Happy National Space Day to everyone who's ever looked up and felt something ✨🌌 Space has a way of reminding us that we are both incredibly small and endlessly capable, that curiosity is never wasted, and wonder is never too much. Every star you've chased, every late night you've spent on Slooh watching the sky, every moment the universe took your breath away... was worth it. Here's to the stargazers, the dreamers, the ones who stayed up too late just to catch a glimpse of something extraordinary. You're our people, and we're so glad you're here. 🔭 #nationalspaceday #Slooh #spacelovers

As we close out April, we want to recognize our Slooh community members who have excelled on the leaderboards! 🏆 Throughout the month, Slooh community members have been exploring the cosmos, capturing celestial objects, completing quests, and earning Gravity Points. These points are awarded for participating in observations, finishing quests, and contributing to the community, rewarding our explorers for their discoveries and engagement. Great job to everyone in our community! Will we see your name on the leaderboard in May? #Slooh #Sloohtoit

🌟 Some star clusters are older than our galaxy’s spiral arms. Globular clusters are some of the oldest objects in the Milky Way, ancient stellar cities containing hundreds of thousands of stars packed tightly together in a spherical shape. Many formed over 10 billion years ago, when the universe itself was still young. Unlike the stars in the Milky Way’s spiral disk, globular clusters travel on wild, elongated orbits that carry them through the galaxy’s halo, past the galactic center, and back out again. These clusters hold clues to the early history of our galaxy. In this Slooh Quest, you’ll investigate these ancient objects by capturing images of the 25 closest globular clusters using Slooh’s telescopes. Along the way, you’ll explore: ✨ What globular star clusters are and how they formed in the early universe 🌌 Why these clusters orbit in the Milky Way’s halo instead of its disk 🌀 How gravitational forces slowly strip stars away over time in a process called tidal stripping 🗺️ How the uneven distribution of globular clusters helped astronomers map the true structure of our galaxy By the end of the Quest, you’ll create your own infographic showcasing your globular cluster observations and discoveries. Each cluster you capture is more than just a beautiful image; it’s a snapshot from the earliest chapters of the universe. 🔭 Start the Quest on Slooh and see how many globular clusters you can capture. #Slooh #GlobularStar
