KEHLANI ✨WOW! We’ve been graced with this album for only a week and I already know it’ll be the most played album I have to date. From start to finish not a single skip. Not to mention the visuals from this album release are heaven sent… Chef’s Kiss!💋, I caught myself staring and admiring them for so long I figured I might as well draw it, while enjoying the album over and over again until I finished. This is album is everything and I need to talk to people about it!!!
HEEL (2026) , an illustration nodding to the dog training command. This idea came to life recently after started I sketching my way through introspection. Through the process I quickly noticed the opportunity to apply symbolism in a way that resonated with my personal obstacles. 💧Dogs are at best the highest form of unconditional loyalty. Imagine having a big bark but simultaneously struggling with the ability to use it at the right times. The dog, adorned in a barbed wire collar, pointing to the physical and emotional pain caused by the apprehension to speak out in fear of potential consequences, just because you’re telling the truth doesn’t always mean it’ll get received which is why color choice holds significance here in a blue haze representing the throat chakra for communication, truth, self-expression, but also “blue” as in melancholic. The way this flowed out of my was effortless and the vision was clear. Taking this as a sign to continue introspection via sketch. I’m currently in watercolor treatment with extensive color therapy. 🌹A while ago I saw this valentines look and I quite literally gasped when I saw the Cupid doll mug ❤️ Figured it’d be a great reference to practice. Wow! I can’t believe It’s already been one year since the Food For Thought Art Show Exhibition. What an experience that was! 🍎 I was so busy running the show that I hadn’t given myself a chance to share more about my key piece “That’s Life”, a pieces that serves as a deep recognition for low-income families being forced to live in nutritional scarcity. In the case of cereal, “Nutritional Neglect” refers to how many popular, cheap cereals are marketed as healthy yet are packed with sugar, artificial additives, and empty calories, contributing to long-term health issues like obesity and diabetes.

To this day, I still look back with so much pride at seeing the impact this work possessed. Being able to connect with so many folks who have had to grow up living under the poverty line, much like myself, was truly unforgettable. It dissolved all the shame I had for growing up in conditions I had no control over, there were a few times I had to walk away to shed a tear from the overwhelming emotions I felt. It was truly profound, and something I’ll never forget. So grateful for everyone who made this moment possible❤️🍎☁️ Photos by @kp.chronicles

So sad to announce The Our Light Unbound exhibition has come to an end. I just want to express gratitude to @lidia_paints@yaz.etal and @slip_belltown for giving the participating artists a platform to share our stories and connect with one another through our shared passions, also not to mention the encouragement behind sharing more digitally illustrated pieces, unreal! I have so much love for y’all. I look forward to seeing you all again and continuing to bring this wonderful community together through our shared love for creation and self expression 💖🎨🖼️ until next time!
This October I hosted my first workshop! So many friends have been asking about my experience so I thought I’d share this cute little recap. First off I just want to say another big thank you to the Link Program Director @esoveresmeralda@aigalinkprogram for bringing me onto this opportunity I had so much fun introducing block printing to a group of such talented kids! Each of them were so inspiring and it was truly a pleasure to witness them bring their ideas to life. I look forward to teaching again in the future.
