Think of these lyrics as if spoken by a puzzle. For its double meaning, this song is about keeping yourself together when someone lets you go - or when you have to let go of someone else. Tough as it is, thereās usually a good reason for it, and that reason is sometimes to know yourself a little bit better. To know how you fit together, so you can be more whole and complete for the next person :)
