Project Rise 🎈is my coaching programme for women in marketing and comms leadership roles, who want more confidence and impact in their leadership, and to create high-performing teams (without being an a*se). The connection, depth and progress of the group is very special. We are dropping the people pleasing, the over-functioning and creating the careers and lives that bring loads more happiness and growth. Katie, a marketing director on the programme, said to me last Friday "I cannot believe the difference this programme has made to my leadership at work, plus also my life at home, in such a short space of time." ——— Considering coaching to grow yourself at work AND not forget about your well-being? There are 5 spaces for female leaders to join Project Rise in January 2026. If you are interested in one of the places on the programme, for you, or a team member, drop me a reply and I can share details. #leadershipcoachingprogram #projectrise #womeninleadership

At the AllBright Mayfair, 50 leaders and founders dove deep into how your mind can be both your best friend and your worst enemy. I was sharing the powerful, Positive Intelligence work from Shirzad Chamine. We discussed how… 👀Our inner saboteurs, can often be running the show in our heads and we don’t even realise it. 🤦‍♀️Under stress and uncertainty our autopilot, saboteurs reactions have us feel guilt, fear, shame, anger sadness or overwhelm. 🌱When we become aware that our saboteurs are habits of the mind, we then have choice. This is liberating. 😄Humour helps too! We all have saboteurs and when we create some lightness around them, it weakens their hold. 🌳There is a calm, laser-focused sage self within us all and it is possible to unlock this through establishing a regular, mental fitness practice. I am still glowing from the energy in this workshop. Change is great when you do it alongside others. Which of these saboteurs resonate with you? Controller? Avoider? Hyper-Achiever? Stickler? Hyper-Rational? Hyper-Vigilant? Pleaser? Restless? Victim? If you would like to book a half day Mental Fitness workshop for your team this year, get in touch. #mentalfitness #pivotcoach #personaldevelopment #growth #smallbusinesscoach #leadershipcoaching

Why did I add Positive Intelligence and Mental Fitness to my coaching toolbox? Back in 2019, I said to my coach that I wanted to explore the world of neuroscience further. I'd been coaching for 3 years at the time and I wanted to understand more deeply why my clients (and me) kept saying they would do things that they really wanted to do, and then not follow through. I wanted to help people understand their overwhelming thinking patterns and be able to create a safe, space for them to discuss their thoughts without feeling judged, or like they were totally broken. I wanted the support of an approach rooted in scientific research. No woo-woo fluff. I went off to research doing a masters in neuroscience and positive psychology. I found a few courses and was ready to take them back to discuss with Cat, my coach. It was in that next coaching session where Cat told me about an opportunity she'd seen. Shirzad Chamine, was inviting experienced coaches to train in his Positive Intelligence methodology. Positive Intelligence is the science and practice of developing mastery over your own mind so you can reach your full potential for both happiness and success. The work is a synthesis of the latest breakthroughs in neuroscience, positive psychology, CBT, & performance science. It was perfect. I put together my application and was accepted. The terms of the agreement were that you had to go through the programme yourself first and really “do your own work” to see how powerful the framework was. And it is powerful. It was a gift that I found this work pre-lockdown. I grew my own Positive Intelligence which helped me (and my judgey, stressy inner critic) have a practical toolkit to manage my emotions. It improved my confidence and self-trust as a leader of my business and transformed my relationships at home. I was also able to help my clients. Since doing the training and becoming a certified Positive Intelligence (PQ) Coach, I have coached over 150 people to grow their PQ. I’ve taught them the framework to use in their leadership and personal lives. It has been a privilege. Forever learning, To your pivot, Liz #growthmindset #positiveintelligence

Becoming pattern spotters. Whether you are agency or client side, when things get busy, it’s easy to keep speeding along without stopping to look around. Last week, I was with an EMEA comms team in a rapidly shifting global industry for their offsite, kicking off a six-month leadership development programme. Senior communicators responsible for multiple markets, constant change, and the pressure to move quickly. That all sounds very snazzy. Really, my job (and that of the Slick Pivot coaches) is to help this team slow down. Even in times of extreme pressure and crisis, my job is to help them re-centre and check they are on the right track. When we slow down and create space to really observe what is going on (inside us and in the external world) we become brilliant pattern spotters. When you spot patterns that work for you, keep doing them. When you spot patterns that don’t work for you, tweak them. Often it only takes a small adjustment, a micro pivot. Sometimes lots of micro-pivots. If you never make space to pause and reflect, you’ll keep racing down the track without checking whether it’s the right track, or whether it leads to what really matters. The leaders I work with are constantly becoming better pattern spotters. What patterns are showing up in your team right now? #SlickPivot #LeadershipCoaching #GetGoodAtChange

📣Perfectionists, listen up. 💭Ponder this for a second…Imperfect action is better than perfect inaction. ⚡️Are you waiting for the perfect conditions? ⚡️Are you overcomplicating things? ⚡️Perhaps both? Problem is, when we look for perfection, we can become Perfect Procrastinators. And get stuck. 🤨 To help weaken that part of you that wants everything to be perfect, but sabotages you by holding back your progress, I’d like to invite you to take action, imperfectly today. Imperfect action, also known as messy action, is to accept “good enough” and move on from the task. Just get it done. There is a phrase I've heard said in academia… “A good thesis is a done thesis. A great thesis is a published thesis. A perfect thesis is neither”. You might… ⭐️Write the email, and check it only once. ⭐️Push the go-live button on that webpage. ⭐️Go have that conversation you want to have. ⭐️Tidy half the house or even just half the kitchen :) So whatever you’re sitting on today. Go get it done! How will you embrace imperfect action today?

Scroll for 6 things I’ve learnt when I stepped out of my lane and pivoted my career 👉👉👉 🛣“Stay in your lane” they said. “It’s what you’re good at, you’ve got financial security there, you know what you’re doing!”, “If you try out this business, it might not work and you’ll fail, then you’ll be back to square one!”. Shhhh… the noise🤫 🚗Today I challenge you to move out of your lane. Your comfort zone. The one like the old, familiar comfy pair of slippers, that even if you’re not too keen on them anymore at least you know what you’re going to get, right? Out of your comfort zone is where the growth and magic happens.🤩 Tell me about a time when you stepped out of your lane ⬇️. How did it go?
