hey everyone. removing my other flyering post because i like this one better.

over the past year or so i have been familiarizing myself with the bulletin board landscape, if you will, of two of the biggest towns in franklin and hampshire county. i have learned a lot and lamented a lot (you people that post over each other will always amaze me).

right now my goal is to become more active in promoting the legal allowance of flyering on telephone poles and the such, outside of being only adhered to the businesses. and frankly why are lost PEOPLE posters being hidden inside business boards? FLYERING IS FOR THE PEOPLE. we should be allowed to promote our events and notices in confidence, most places we please, AND be trusted to be responsible for the clean up. we should be angry about this.

i urge you to take a look for yourself and hang up your own flyers if you can. we should all be familiarized with the landscape; there’s no good in it being just me and a few other people. i’ve included many versions of the greenfield and northampton flyering spot lists i’ve spent a year building. all of those places listed allow you to post most whatever you please without having to ask, but be warned….the boards are NOT in good shape. i’m hoping to develop my list this year in places like the north quabbin and general springfield area, so send me events from there, too!

i’m still taking flyer submissions but as sleep destroyer & my other projects get busier this spring, i will probably only get out there once or twice a month. i’m not a very scheduled person so i kinda just do it as i please. all i ask at this point is you send me your flyer at least ONE WEEK before the event happens. i promise ill do my best to hang it up.

4/5 wendy eisenberg (@wendyeyes ) is coming to the brick house to celebrate the release of their new album “wendy eisenberg.” i have seen their name on countless wmass diy flyers ive archived, and im ecstatic to have made this one announcing their return to the area. this is a show you really truly don’t wanna miss.

4/11 sleep destroyer is back at the brick house for a show @feldspar00000 organized for us lost artists finding a crumb of a venue to play our music … no but seriously, thank u zit, ur doing the lords work right now booking shows and to you i am forever grateful.

4/28 sleep destroyer plays a three bill show (amazingly) at a super secret holyoke location with a super cool band from tacoma wa. this one will be special - lemme know if you need help getting there :)

at the end of the spring i hope to have a tour announcement and a whole new setlist. i’m accessing my treasure each day, and taking out the things that mean most.
⭐️ what a long and dark winter it’s been. time for some sleep destroyer shows after some hibernation.

truly, an insane year. even when i wasn’t playing shows, sleep destroyer was as active and alive as ever. here are some of my favorite moments this year.
- iggy joining as guitarist and forcing me to play bass
- cutting my hair onstage / being bald
- covering it’s mandy (available on bandcamp)
- HUM halloween set (also available on bandcamp)
- supporting my best friend and bandmate in his music venture @feldspar00000
- gathering my own knowledge about the practice of flyering
- investing in a new practice space with music collaborators i love and trust
- nick colletti cameo
- playing in NEW YORK CITY for the first time ever
- playing a record 26 shows this year in 4 different states, with new hampshire being a new one
- playing with some of the most amazing musical talent i’ve ever experienced (like for real wtf)
- and, probably my favorite - making lasting and deep connections with my comrades in diy (lol) and always finding new ways to experience joy, comfort one another through art, and hold each other in community.
i’m glad i’m here! happy almost new year.
