Make zines with us! We'll bring the supplies, you bring your imagination. Monday, June 1 6-8pm SLC Arts, 6 Raymond St, Potsdam What's a zine? Small-format, self-published micro-magazines have been around since the printing press was invented. Zines carry on the tradition of self-expression for the masses. A zine can be made from a single sheet of folded paper or multiple sheets stapled together. Your zine can be personal, political, poetic, or practical. Zines can be about anything from gardening to gaming, fandom to philosophy. Draw and write by hand, or create with collage. Make your own, collaborate with another zinester, or make something to contribute to our collaborative zine, Potsdam Salvage. Zines are punk, zines are playful, zines are print culture for everyone. (How do you pronounce it? Zine, like magazine.) First Monday each month at the Creative Spirit Art Center, 6 Raymond St, Potsdam. Potsdam Salvage is a collaboration between Potsdam Pride & Potsdam DIY, with support from SLC Arts.

In this monument to failed relationships sit the remains of three marriages that ended. You can see this, and other objects of personal grief at the Museum of Grief in Potsdam July 29-31, all leading up to NoCo Glow and the first showing of Grief Butcher’s River Market. If you have an object of grief that could be displayed, reach out. We will be collecting grief all through June. #collectivegrief #personalgrief #communityhealing #griefbutcher
