CLIENTS, BEFORE BOOKING A MAKEUP ARTIST KEEP READING⬇️ With the new rise of the “Clean Girl” esthetic, there’s a disconnect in clients truly understanding what goes into a “Soft Glam” or a “Clean Girl” look. So here’s a few tips I came up with that may help aid in pairing artist and clients… 1. CLIENTS! Actually look at the artist page/work…. It’s reductive to see an artist work and try to make them do something completely different than their signature looks. It’s unfair and insulting. 2. CLIENTS! A soft glam is still a full face, a no makeup, makeup look is still a full face, these looks still take multiple products and techniques to accomplish. So please understand that no matter how many times you say “soft “ it’s STILL a full face. 3. The Artist price is their price. Some clients feel that since it’s a “Natural” look, it should be an extremely cheap price. Going back to tip 2, there’s still a multi step, multi product process being done and if one artist is out of your budget, going to another. 4. Skincare is very important especially if you want your glam to look as soft as possible. Proper skincare is so important. The better skin, the softer and smoother the makeup application will be. A common question I always receive is… “What’s the most important part to the makeup application?” And yes the entirety of the application process all plays a part but TO ME, THOSE BROWS? 🤏🏾 Yes the brows matter so much. Brows that don’t complement your facial structure or the shade of those brows not complementing your complexion can definitely throw an entire look off. Symmetry within makeup is a real thing that isn’t talked about enough. You ever just looked at your glam and said “Ehh something is just off.” Not that it’s bad or unblended. Not even anything involving you picking the wrong foundation shade. But still “off”. It’s because your symmetry isn’t aligning with your face shape. So yes… finding the shape and shade that’s going to cultivate YOUR perfect brow is definitely going to benefit you and your application and change how your end result looks and feels!
