What an emotional working process this was! ❤️ Read about "Sevdah of Lost Identity" in "Standpoint Autotheory: Writing Embodied Experiences and Relational Artistic Practices". Edited by: Ana de Almeida and Mariel Rodriguez @_dealmeida_ana @marielrdzrdz Published by: @sternbergpress_official @akbild Year: 2025 "This contribution investigates the complex interplay between individual trauma and collective historical experience through the lens of the sevdah and sevdalinka music genre. Grounded in the artist’s personal narrative of displacement because of the Bosnian War in the 1990s, the project employs performative and musical methodologies to explore the psychological and social aftermath of the conflict. By analyzing and reinterpreting traditional motifs and symbols found in her native cultural heritage within the framework of a western European education and upbringing, the artist seeks to reclaim a fragmented identity. Through embodied practice, the research examines the manifestations of intergenerational trauma, including PTSD and eating disorders. This project contributes to ongoing discourses on the role of art in trauma recovery and the construction of identity in contemporary multicultural societies."

Through digital tools such as 3D scanning with LiDAR, optimizing scanned environments in Blender, and developing a video-based project, participants will digitally map a personally meaningful space. This process offers a way to reflect on how physical environments influence daily life through their digital reconstruction. Final projects will be shared and discussed in a supportive group setting. 🩷💜💙 Back to working on "Analog glitch series" where I am cutting a carefully selected analogue photos based on its colour intensity and reconstructing the cut stripes into a completely new composition. This way creating new memories for myself but that in the eyes of the viewer carry a completely different perception than my own. The work carries a strong emotional and personal charge so unique to both myself as the artist as well as to the audience.
