Even the simplest systems of branding can have incredible impact when they’re built with intention. A well-organized, functional identity system isn’t about flashy designs—it’s about creating something that works seamlessly across touchpoints. Thoughtful choices in color, typography, and layout ensure consistency, build recognition, and make your brand feel more cohesive. It’s these small details that elevate your brand’s presence and make it feel solid, professional, and reliable. Great design isn’t about complexity; it’s about clarity and purpose. At Slash, we make sure every piece of your brand works harder and smarter. Learn more at SLASH.wtf.
Broad Oaks Construction came to us with a logo rooted in nostalgia—a simple oak tree that the founders, a husband and wife team, had used when they first started their business. While it had sentimental value, the design didn’t carry much visual weight for their brand. The goal wasn’t to throw away history, but to simplify. We took that original oak and refined it into a more flexible, one-color version that maintained the tree’s integrity but was easier to work with across various applications—whether screen printing, embroidery, or one-color branding comps. It’s about evolution, not revolution—honoring what’s come before, but making it work for today. That’s how good design works. Learn more at SLASH.
We had the pleasure of working with Broad Oaks Construction, a talented family-owned remodeling business in San Francisco with 20 years of craftsmanship under their belt. As a small, creative team, we were able to collaborate directly with them on their branding, tailoring a solution that fit their vision and needs.
With our One Day Design Intensive, we dive deep into the project in two, fast-paced, collaborative half-day sessions—whether it’s a logo, landing page, or a marketing piece, we design and make decisions together, ensuring the final result truly reflects the heart of the business.
For businesses with a lower budget or those wanting to be more involved in the process, this is the perfect way to get impactful design done quickly.
