Slapback is a London based night dedicated to finding and supporting new and exciting artists / bands from the city and beyond. We pride ourselves on carefully curated lineups- determined to help discovery of some of our favourite performers reach an even wider community.
As musicians ourselves with over 10 years experience in gigging in the London live scene we’re committed to ensuring acts are treated with the respect they deserve - which we know ourselves is not always the case!
We are passionate, professional and believe in uplifting independent musicians, venues and creating community within a scene that can sometimes feel so inaccessible.
A melting pot of genres, styles and audiences - Slapback is a refreshing and exciting space amplifying incredible new talent.

‘Emerging from a painted potion of nights of queer debauchery, yearning and joy - Bella Barton has honed their craft as a songwriter and performer in the stickiest venues across London and in doing so has drawn in a kaleidoscopic crew of musicians to create Bella Artois. The South London 5-piece have put on an array of polychromatic shows - the likes of which cannot be retold without mentioning the gut-kicking lyrics of lust and lore, baby head props and, of course, lipstick everywhere. The band are in the business of revelry, seduction and a large dose of silliness.’
