Give your old shoes a new purpose! If you have worn-out shoes gathering dust, here’s your chance to make a difference. Support a Philadelphia charity - Students Run Philly Style through their “Run It Back” Shoe Recycling Campaign to give back to the community and reduce waste.
Students Run Philly Style transforms the lives of young people through mentorship, guiding students from over 50 Philadelphia schools as they train to take on the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run or the Philadelphia Marathon. With each mile, these students build resilience, confidence, and the skills to achieve their goals—both on and off the course.
Simply drop any type of sneaker in any condition or size in the designated Students Run Philly Style bin at 3610 Warren St Shoes not accepted include dress shoes, boots, cleats, golf, football, high heels, sandals and other non sneaker types. Depending on their condition, your shoes will either be recycled or donated. Not only will this help keep shoes out of landfills, but Students Run Philly Style will also receive a small donation for every pair recycled.
Every student receives a brand new pair of Brooks running shoes to train in, so the donated shoes do not go directly to them, but Students Run Philly Style does receive a small donation for every pair recycled. Together we can pay our miles and smiles forward!
