It's difficult to accurately describe my present state. I've grown quite a bit this year, mentally, but also the general maturation of myself.
I feel like I'm on the precipice of something. Either the path to a greater version of myself, actualisation of my goals etc and the ability to really help those around me (training to be a therapist!). Or what may very well be my penultimate downfall, i feel.
Either way, i'll enter this year as a different person, which feels great.
Tell your friends, family and loved ones, how much you love them, and what they mean to you in life.
I hope 2023 is the year when everything comes together for you, and that you bloom like the beautiful fucking flower that you are.

The Betty tree has been planted with some of her ashes around the roots. Going to add a few more bits over time, maybe a plaque or tiny fountain, she loved this garden.
I cannot wait to see this tree blossom and feel a wave of happiness drench me as I think of you every time I see it.

I miss playing live and making music SO much.
FUCK Axial Ankylosing Spondyloarthropathy. It's fucked me up so bad since i was 18.
So many incredible memories and meeting so many amazing people, playing with some of the best musicians ever at the most insane shows.
These are with Acrania, Slaughter To Prevail around 2014/16 and Human Error and A Trust Unclean a few years back.
I miss myself, i need this back so bad.
Notable mentions : @lewiscandlin pure fucking legend. He's become SUCH a brilliant musician, pure lethality on the drums, my god.
The 2nd to last shot is from the Acrania/STP show in Poland, Wroclaw i believe? Which was without a doubt one of the most insane shows ever.

I found my Jackson warrior one of my oldest guitars 😭 My first proper guitar I got in 2009.
I stupidly left the battery in it and it corroded one of the terminals to hell and disintegrated the wire too. I'll try and clean it up and solder the wire back on, but I might as well just order a new one.
Don't leave your batteries in peeps!
Man this guitar slapped back in the day, surprisingly comfy to play despite its long fins.

Has anyone read the Event Horizon Dark Descent comics yet? Finally came out a few days ago, it's a prequel to the film explaining what happened on the initial journey. It adds so much more to film and gives it a lot more meaning, 100% recommend!
The 4th of August 12:51 pm, Betty passed away. The vet had to come and collect her and we walked to the them. When we opened the door and she saw us her tail immediately started banging out them Betty beats.
In the last 24 hours her health severely declined, developing jaundice and unable to walk or eat at all.
In her final moments she was happy and surrounded with love by her family.
The first photos are at the time when she came into my life, the final photo is the last one I took of her just before we took her to the vet.
This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through, on par with my dads accident. I honestly don't know how I'm going to cope without her.
I really hope there is another side after death so I can meet her again and give her the butt scratches she deserves.
I love you so fucking much my Betty. Thank you for everything you've done. You filled me with hope, joy and love when it was otherwise impossible to feel.

They found a mass the size of a large orange in her abdomen and it has metastasized and spread to her liver. She could have days or weeks left, we have to do it day by day and when the time comes we will take her in.
She will be surrounded by those that she loves and in the time that she is still with us she will experience the most beautiful things this world has to offer.
