Brief interruption of regular programming to show off these adorable flowers and the multi-compartment vase holding them 🌸✨ Honestly, seeing fresh flowers in pottery just makes everything feel a little more alive. Which brings me to my very important survey question: how many of you actually keep and use vases at home? Or are we all just buying flowers with the best intentions and improvising with random cups and jars? 😄 Asking for completely non-pottery-related reasons, obviously. 😉

Sticking with the black and white theme for this custom nut bowl 🖤🤍 Three compartments for easy serving, plus a lid that doubles as a plate — multifunctional and, honestly, multi-adorable. So much fun to make and even more satisfying to see it come together. Huge thank you to my client for the order and for trusting me with full creative freedom — that’s where the best pieces happen. ✨ #handbuiltceramics #custompottery #functionalart

My newest fruit bowl is here!!✨ The wavy edges were designed to feel free and fluid, while the black-and-white glaze combination helps highlight every curve and fold. This piece was actually a test run for a much larger commissioned fruit bowl in the same style — a chance to practice creating these soft edges and test this crisp glaze pairing before committing to the bigger piece. Safe to say… this little one turned out pretty adorable, and now I’m even more excited to see the larger version come out of the kiln soon 🖤🤍 #handbuiltceramics #fruitbowl #functionalart

Made these spoon rests by popular demand 😄 And by “popular demand,” I mean at least 10 people sent me the same video telling me this should be my next project. So here they are — realistic dish cloth spoon rests, handbuilt in clay and honestly way too fun to make. Simple idea, great functionality, and just the right amount of kitchen personality. First batch is officially done… and I’m already working on the next one ✨ #handbuiltceramics #spoonrest #kitchenpottery #functionalart #potterylife

Clearly, I’m ready for spring — actual spring, with flowers — so I made another vase 🌸 This one comes with a little “baggage” 😄 a petite open-form vase that’s perfect for just a few stems, plus three candle holders… you know, in case you’re hosting a dinner and suddenly feel the need to impress with candlelight (Mother’s Day, perhaps? Just a thought 😉). I’ve been busy in the studio and have even more pieces coming out of the kiln soon, which also means… I’m officially running out of space in my house. A small online sale might be happening, so if you see something you like, let me know — it might just be yours. ✨ #handbuiltceramics #springvibes #ceramicart

It starts with a slab and a simple idea… and turns into a vase with a whole lot of personality ✨ I’m so happy with how this double-compartment cutie came out — playful, functional, and just a little different. Now it just needs a new home and some beautiful flowers to bring it to life. Perfect timing for spring… and a thoughtful Mother’s Day gift 🌸 #handbuiltceramics #ceramicvase #springdecor #mothersdaygift #potterylove

Who’s ready for Easter? 🐣✨ These little egg bowls were a fun experiment. While working with molds (or in this case, repurposed egg cartons) is interesting, I always find myself drawn back to building pieces from scratch — it allows for more creativity and freedom in the process. That said, every piece teaches something. Next time I make these, I already know exactly what I’d do differently. But for now… these do the job beautifully. #handbuiltceramics #easterready #potterylife #ceramicart #functionalpottery

This little multipurpose dish wasn’t planned at all — just extra clay and a moment of " Ahhh I don't know what to make!!" . I started pinching, and those finger impressions turned into these natural compartments and unique shape. Perfect for small bites, jewelry, or whatever tiny things need a place to land. ✨ #handbuiltceramics #pinchpot #potterylife

Full disclosure — I hadn’t touched the wheel in about a year and a half. One day I had a little extra time and decided to see if I still remember it. After throwing a few forms (and confirming I do… somewhat 😅), I tried something different (since mugs or planters are not my favorite)-small ceramic phone speakers. In theory, great idea. In practice… I slightly underestimated shrinkage. Had I done the math properly, the phone slot would’ve fit perfectly. So here we are: one works beautifully as a speaker (and yes, it actually amplifies the sound), and the other two… still waiting to find their purpose. Sponge holders? Maybe. Open to ideas — what would you use them for?

Made my first handmade French butter crock (butter bell) 🧈✨ A simple, time-tested design that dates back to 19th-century France — created to keep butter fresh and perfectly spreadable without refrigeration. Functional, thoughtful, and honestly… a little genius. Pieces like this are my favorite to make, and I love when someone sees something unique and immediately thinks of me to bring it to life. That’s usually where the best pieces begin. 🔔 ❤️

This charcuterie board has been on my to-do list for far too long. You’d think someone who loves assembling boards would have made one sooner… but no. Two attempts later (yes, it looks simple — it’s not), one dried too fast and literally exploded in my hands before it ever saw the kiln. This one finally made it through — carefully dried, properly compressed, and fired without drama. Curvy lines, abstract glaze finish, made to be used. For the sake of this video, and for my family's sake, I kept it semi-healthy… but trust me, my real charcuterie creations are far more ambitious. I’m officially adding these to my rotation. Want one? DM me — I’m taking orders 🙂 #handbuiltceramics #charcuterieboard #functionalpottery #ceramicartist #madebyhand

The newest butter dish is in the house!— one of my favorite everyday pieces. I use mine daily, and over time so many of you have asked for it that I finally brought it back… this time in my favorite honeycomb pattern 🐝✨ Functional? Of course. But let’s be honest — this is a dish that has every right to strut across the counter like it owns the place. And frankly, it does.🧈 #sladjapottery #functionalart
