Families, alumni and friends of SLA,
This past weekend, the SLA Girls Ultimate team finished 2nd at the Spring Fling tournament, beating two nationally ranked teams along the way, and this week's national ranking lists SLA's team as 17th in the nation.
Wednesday, our SLAmbassadors said goodbye to their German counterparts after powerful cross-cultural visits where our students went to Germany and then hosted the German students here in Philadelphia.
Also on Wednesday, all of our ninth graders got practice doing interviews and learning how to present themselves to potential ILP hosts, working with professionals in the field as they prepare for their ILP experiences for next year.
And today, the entire school was able to take part in an Art Show, curated by two SLA seniors for their capstone project, where kids were able to showcase their art, take part in workshops, design cookies, and listen to the SLA House Band, and so much more.
All of these things which enrich the experience of our kids are supported by the SLA Home and School Association, and none of them could happen without HSA support.
There literally is not a day at SLA that isn't positively impacted by the work of the Home and School.
And we need your help.
On May 9th, the HSA hosts its biggest fundraising event of the year, our Spring Auction and Social. The committee has been working tirelessly to make it a special night to celebrate 20 years of our school and to dream big about how we can create the conditions for the 21st year to be our best year yet.
