Comet C/2025 R3 PanSTARRS from Big Island, Hawai’i 🌌 Not only the southern hemisphere is having fun with this visitor, but came back around to give us one last viewing before it fades away. Comet R3 currently is putting on a show, passing remarkably close in the sky to the Orion Nebula. Such an epic collaboration with @matirodriguezh for planning, shooting, and processing the data to share with you guys 🤙🏽 📸 Canon R6ii 🔭 RF70-200 2.8 ⚙️ 10x 30s @reallyrightstuff TVC34 + BH55 @skywatcherusa GTi #hawaii #astronomy #maunakea #comet #reallyrightstuff

Still one of my favourite targets in the southern skies - NGC 3576 and NGC 3603 shot from my remote @skywatcherusa Esprit 100ED scope at @kagga_kamma remote observatory. Was able to add a ton of data to my last image - now at just over 69 hours of SHO and RGB stars - and put it in an OHS palette. #astro #astrophotography #nightphotography #nebula #statueofliberty

24hrs of the Eagle Nebula 🦅 This is the first combined dataset from my Esprit 150 & Vixen 8” Newtonian. Each scope brings something special to the table and I couldn't be happier with how well they've paired together. I must say, being able to double data each night really feels like a cheat code. Also, huge shoutout to @astro_fritz for repairing my CQ350 recently - he was an absolute life saver and the Esprit 150 is happy to be back on its throne. Hope everyone is doing well 🤘 _______________ 🔭 @skywatcherusa Esprit 150 (f5.4) & Vixen R200SS (f4.6) ⚙️ @skywatcherusa CQ350 & EQ6 mounts 📷 @zwoastro 533mm Pro 🎨 Antlia 3nm Ha

Working on the next volume of my “Float Over the Sun” series. Just need a few more days of clear skies to get more data. Still so mind blowing that we can see the sun this clearly with the @skywatcherusa Heliostar 76 #Sun #astrophotography #space #astrophoto #timelapse

Two scopes, one galactic whirlpool! 🌌 The Whirlpool Galaxy is undoubtedly one of the most iconic sights in the night sky. Thanks to its size and relative brightness, amateur astronomers and astrophotographers can capture it in exceptional detail 👌 Astrophotographer Josh McCollum shows just how true this is with today’s featured image, showcasing the power of combining data from two large-aperture telescopes. A @celestronuniverse C11 and 16” @skywatcherusa Newtonian duo came together to reveal rich color and depth, bringing out the structure in the galaxy’s sweeping arms. Give Josh a follow at @joshmccollumastro to see more of his work! 📷 __________ 🔭 @celestronuniverse C11 + @zwoastro 183MM Pro 📷 🔭 @skywatcherusa 16” Flextube + @player_one_astronomy Uranus-C 📷

Comet R3 PanSTARRS with a lineup of planets to follow at sunrise. This comet was very tough to shoot, given our location at where Hawai’i sits on the map, but also with the amount of bad timing with cloud cover. April 19th gave us our first realistic opportunity to photograph it so @venchas_with_hulu @matirodriguezh and I went to shoot it but was too obscured with low lying clouds on the horizon. Little did @matirodriguezh and i knew about a second and absolute last chance the very next morning, so we took it and these were the results. Mars, Saturn, and Mercury also came to get photographed right before the sun came up as well. Don’t count anything out unless you actually give it a try. Take that chance, you’ll never know if you’ll get that same opportunity twice 🤙🏽 📸1x30” @canonusa R6ii + RF70-200 @skywatcherusa GTi @reallyrightstuff TVC34 + BH40 #astrophotography #reallyrightstuff #canon #hawaii #maunakea
