I’ve been blessed with some magical scenes in the backcountry this season. This was last Sunday, it was warm and wet but it was still a lot of fun. Where is your favorite place to ski tour?

There is endless terrain to explore and with record breaking snowfall its easy to say you will no doubt enjoy the best turns of your life here. 😝🤘 Took it chilll this weekend and went snowshoeing with @gearhouseseattle and friends. Absolutely check them out if you are in need of gear, guidence, or friends to adventure with!!
Trip Stats: Overall we started at 1030 and climbed just over 900ft and got to Artist Point at 1230 for lunch! (Out and back i logged 3.27 miles) peak elevation 5095ft

Luckily, you can still enjoy the views on more mellow terrain at places like this! Perfect for snowshoeing or CX skiing, this terrain is more about the views, than the thrill. As the number of snow sports enthusiasts has risen drastically during the pandemic and backcountry touring being more popular than ever before, just wanted to give out a friendly reminder to be SAFE traveling through the passes. Be PREPARED! 👜
**US Highway 2 is the second most dangerous road in WA. And though it is one of the most beautiful drives I have been on it is not a joke! Average response time for ambulance/fire is 60-80mins throughout the pass and worse during a storm in the dark if you spin out on your way home from the mountain.
Good things to bring with you: Food🍕 Batteries 🔋
Flashlight 🔦 Blanket/spare layers for warmth, a shovel, flares/caution reflector. Let me know what you pack on your adventures for safety!

I love watching the trasition between seasons. The shift in energy seen by crazy storm clouds and colorful sunsets, the sun burnt trees looking more vibrant than ever. Snowy peaks showing signs of a good season. Starting to plan my downtime through the off season is something I always look forward to. Winter gear check, mapping new routes through the back country, and getting new technical gear to back it up (and comfy clothes for down time). I live for Octobers.
Am I supplementing my lack of personal engagement by editing portraits? ...ABSOLUTELY! One thing I love about portraits is the sense of connection that you gain with the model. Focusing in on all the little details/imperfections, the feelings you get from their expressions in the image.
