We wanted to say a huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who took part in last weekend’s London Landmarks Skyscraper Challenge. We know how hard you have all been training and fundraising for the event.
We appreciate that for some of you the Skyscraper Challenge was not the experience you were expecting. We are extremely sorry that we had to make changes to the event due to unforeseen technical issues on the abseil line and understand that these changes may have been hugely disappointing.
We know that many of you still have questions which we are doing our very best to answer as quickly as possible. We have updated our website with some answers to the questions we are receiving most frequently (link in bio).

We realise that today’s news has been hugely disappointing to many people and we are so sorry that we have had to make these very difficult decisions. We know how hard people have trained and fundraised for so many worthy causes. We recognise that many of you have questions still and we are doing our very best to address them as quickly as possible. Please bear with us and we will update further in the morning.
It is with regret that we have had to update you that we experienced some technical issues today, which were compounded by the heat, and will result in an impact to tomorrow’s challenges.
We have now sent an email to every participant taking part in tomorrow, so please do check your inbox.
Please do accept our sincerest apologies once again. We will continue to update our website FAQs and will be in touch soon with any participants unable to take part in their abseil challenge today.
We’re sorry to announce that the remaining tower run and abseil participants due to take part on Saturday will no longer be able to complete the event today. We are experiencing some technical issues which are compounded by the heat, with the resulting delay meaning we are no longer able to get through everyone’s abseils today.
We know this is hugely disappointing especially as some of you have travelled a long way to join us, and we can only pass on our sincerest apologise that we cannot offer you the full challenge.
These issues are just impacting the abseil, the zipwire challenge is not affected and you can still complete this today.

We want to wish a huge good luck to everybody taking part today. You are about to take on an utterly exhilarating challenge that has never taken place anywhere in the world before.

We hope that you’re feeling ready and raring to go. Please do use our checklist to help ensure that you’ve got everything covered:
1. Read our event guide for all the essential information
2. Order your official photos at /photos to take advantage of the discounted rate.
3. Plan your journey, remembering to check for any travel updates before you leave. We recommend that you aim to arrive around 40 minutes before your start time.
4. Set up and share your fundraising page. Shout loud and proud about the challenge you are about to take on!
5. Get your outfit ready. We recommend a short sleeved t-shirt with long trousers.
6. Pack your bag. Don’t forget water and sunscreen for this weekend’s heatwave.
7. Get your bib and safety pins ready, remembering that the timing chip bib needs to be worn on your front and the other on your back.
8. Personalise your medal with an iTab. To purchase an iTAB for your medal, you need to access your event dashboard. You can find a link to your dashboard in your event confirmation email from [email protected].
9. Breathe and remember to enjoy yourself. This event really will be like no other. Take the time to experience the event village entertainment, enjoy the views on Landing 42 and listen to all those cheers as you cross the finish line. You’re amazing!

Hands up if you’ve noticed already that your two bibs are ever so slightly different to each other 🤚🏽
If you look closely you will notice that one of them has a timing chip integrated into the back. This one must be pinned to the FRONT of your t-shirt.
The other one should be pinned to your back.

With temperatures set to peak at 33 degrees here in London over the weekend, we are putting in extra measures to keep you safe and hydrated during your challenge.
We do also ask that you follow the guidelines below to help keep you safe in the sun:
1. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen 🧴
2. Bring water bottles in your bag for after you’ve finished the challenge. You can never have too much water! 💦
3. Remind your friends and family to bring water, a hat and sunscreen as there is limited shade in the event village 🧢
4. Remember that you do now have the option of wearing short sleeves (excluding vests) 👕
5. Last but not least… The city will look truly magnificent in the shining sun so remember to stop and take in those views on Landing 42 ☀️

Remember that you CAN now wear a short sleeve t-shirt. But this DOESN’T include vests.
Long trousers MUST be worn. NO shorts.
