This visit says a lot about him.
@ParkerMcCollum and his wife Hallie Ray stopped by our Cancer and Hematology Center before his performance at @RodeoHouston 🤠
Parker and Hallie Ray helped some of our leukemia and brain tumor patients make their very own stick horses with the help of @thefarisfoundation Art Therapist, Jennifer, and our @pawsitive_playtch team Teaghan and Lawton.
The visit was made possible by @SkyHighForKids , which is devoted to providing comfort for childhood cancer patients and advancing cancer research.
Warrior Wednesday: Meet Jasper 💙
We know not everyone was able to be at our Boot & Shoot fundraising event last week but, we wanted to make sure you still got to hear Jasper’s story. We had the privilege of honoring Jasper, one of our Sky High Angels, whose life continues to leave a lasting impact on so many.
Jasper was a happy, curly blonde-headed boy who loved Jesus, his family, his dogs, being outside, playing sports, and going fast. At 14, everything changed when he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma after collapsing during baseball practice. Over the next 3.5 years, he endured 17 surgeries, hospital stays, ICU time, collapsed lungs, neurotoxicity, and countless hard days in treatment.
But Jasper was never just his diagnosis.
He found joy in Lego, made bracelets and keychains, and even started his own YouTube Lego channel. He joked about “collecting nurse friends like Pokémon cards,” loved fast cars and engines, and somehow kept his humor through it all.
Even in the hardest moments, he was still checking in on other people and holding tightly to his faith in Jesus.
Jasper went home to Jesus on February 21, 2024, when he gained his angel wings. We are honored to carry his story forward and continue the fight.
A great day on the course for an even greater cause. 🎯
Proud to be part of the clay shoot supporting Sky High for Kids in Midland, Texas — bringing people together to make a difference for children and families battling pediatric cancer. From the competition to the conversations, it was a day built on community, generosity, and support.

Before sharing more moments from last week, we wanted to pause our celebrations and acknowledge the unimaginable tragedy that has deeply affected the Houston community.
Today, we’re honoring the life and legacy of Thy - someone who showed up in such a genuine, steady way for others. In a time that is meant to celebrate mothers and family, this loss feels especially heartbreaking.
Thy cared deeply about her community and believed wholeheartedly in using her influence to make the world a better place, especially for children and families in need. That is one of the many reasons she chose to support Sky High for Kids. She believed strongly in the power of family, a core value woven into everything we do.
Thy attended our Ladies Who Brunch event, selected us as the Charity of Choice for both Traveler’s Cart and Traveler’s Table, and created a special kids meal initiative so that kids could give back to kids. She also supported Sunday Supper, helping provide meals and comfort to families spending their evenings inside the hospital instead of at home.
That was simply who Thy was: thoughtful, compassionate, and always looking for ways to help others. Her impact reached far beyond her restaurants and into the hearts of so many across Houston.
Tragedies like this are felt by an entire community, and we overcome them by standing together and carrying forward the same generosity and compassion Thy showed so freely.
We are holding her loved ones and everyone grieving her loss in our hearts. 🤍

It’s Warrior Wednesday: Meet Henry 🎗️
Henry from Midland, Texas battled Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma with incredible faith and strength like you couldn't imagine. Like many Cancer Warriors in West Texas, he had to travel hours to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston for treatment because there are no local pediatric cancer care options in the Midland/Odessa area.
This is why the work we do at Sky High for Kids is so imperative.
We can’t wait to share his full journey tomorrow evening at our Boot & Shoot Western Banquet!
Sky High For Kids supports children and families facing pediatric cancer by funding research and providing meaningful support.
These journals were personalized as a thank you to the donors who make that work possible.
Their approach is thoughtful and intentional, and that same care carries through here.
Thoughtful details to help each person feel seen and appreciated.
Shoutout to our amazing Sunday Supper partners last month 💛 Over 600 meals delivered, plus Easter baskets, goodie bags & DIY cookie kits that made this April extra sweet!
Let's keep the momentum going! Help us fill up our summer Sunday Supper calendar and bring even more comfort to our Cancer Warrior families spending their Sunday nights at Texas Children's Hospital.
