The clones understood that trans rights are human rights. We all ought to as well. My goal has always been to make art that celebrates the very best of what Star Wars has been and can be. Representation like this is a small but profoundly important step in the struggle to defend and celebrate the humanity and validity of every person.
Fascism takes reign by attacking the most marginalized amongst us first. There is no room for hesitation in our resolve to resist. You must continue to advance the cause for equality. The scale of the action is not of primary importance. What matters most is that you act in earnest to support and defend the humanity of your fellow people. Use whatever platform you have, in whatever capacity you are able, to speak up. Every second of silence allows the forces of oppression to move their line forward.

Protocol Droid
The second I saw the droid head popcorn bucket at Galaxy’s Edge this May 4th, I knew I needed one. Not only that, but I knew I needed to customize one. After a great deal of sanding, painting, weathering, and compiling loose wires and rubber bands, this is the final result.
I plan to carry this bucket of bolts around at conventions and use it to store stickers and other goodies. Anything else I should add to the design? I should also probably give him a name…any ideas would be much appreciated!

I hope you all have an excellent day celebrating the holiday in whatever fashion you choose! Today I’m sharing some photos of this reforged design I put together, inspired by the Shadow Lord himself.
This resin cast thoroughly crumbled after a mishap, so I went about reassembling it to the best extent I could using some E6000 and a lot of tape. Now it’s an ode to Maul, and a reminder that every project is salvageable and worth creating. Stay tuned for an announcement regarding this design later today… 👀

Back in action with a new bucket 💥
I’ve been working on a series of designs and commissions over the past few weeks, and they’re all finally wrapping up. Lots of pictures to share, starting with this custom @helldivers2game inspired Mandalorian helmet.
The design is an adaptation of the B-01 Tactical cosmetic from HD2. I swapped the skull emblems for Mythosaurs and added a few more components like a rangefinder to help it feel believably grounded in the Star Wars universe. Had to throw on some bug splatter at the end, of course. This character has definitely seen some action.

This helmet, and the character who wears it, are clear as day reminders that Star Wars is for everyone. I will always strive to reflect that belief in my art. Stories and media aren’t just escapism, they can also be actionable. In the face of real world struggle, celebrating and creating stories that imagine a better world for all allows us to feel the power of that possible future, and then work to make it a reality.
Desktop Clone Helmets 🪖
I recently got the opportunity to join the @shapr3d_official Creator Program, so today I’m sharing a look behind the scenes at my workflow for developing these mini helmets using my go-to CAD software.
I started by designing the helmet itself in Shapr3D, before resin printing a test version. The helmet printed well, but I decided to create a mold in order to produce the helmets faster, and add a little extra weight to them. To achieve this, I went back into CAD and designed a mother mold cavity around the existing helmet.
The mother mold is a 2-part mirrored system with holes that would later fill with silicone to create automatic registration keys, and a central ridge with enough space to incorporate some nuts and bolts to hold the two halves together while casting. I printed this mold in PLA plastic.
With both my mold object and the mother mold itself ready to go, I assembled my materials and poured silicone into the chamber, capturing all the detail of the clone helmet, and leaving a perfect negative in its place. Here you can see the first successful test pull from the mold.

No stencils, just tape and time.
This custom mando is an amalgamation of design aesthetics inspired by the likes of Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Thrawn, and even a few WoW characters.
The markings are meant to be more abstract rather than concretely representative of any one character or motif. Collectively, they’re meant to create the overarching sense of a daunting explosion of color and form.
Retaining symmetry throughout was a fun challenge that allowed me to put my tape skills to the test. Additionally, it was important to me that the weathering reflect this character’s battle-hardened nature, so I layered plenty of battle damage and etched in some markings on the side of the dome.

Under the Sea 🐚🦀🌊
Occasionally I’ll get requests for crossover designs that seem far too distinct from Star Wars to create a cohesive aesthetic. These challenges, however, often end up being some of the most fun to work on.
This particular helmet is a custom Mando inspired by some of the colors and design elements from The Little Mermaid. The wavy patterns resemble kelp and ocean waves, while the shell insignia symbolizes this character’s affiliation to their seafaring clan. Come to think of it, a group of submarine Mandos might be exactly the sort of thing we need to see in the Star Wars universe.

Paz x Sith Trooper
This is up there with some of the most unexpected crossover requests I’ve ever received for a helmet design. As some of you may recall if you’ve been following along for a bit, blending these two very unique designs into a cohesive style took a lot of iteration. In the end, though, I’m really happy with the result.
The Mandalorian details on the sides of the helmet actually blend quite well with the linear style of the Sith trooper form, and the color helps create a natural cohesion to tie it all together. Main colors were applied with an airbrush and rattle cans, and then I went back through with a brush tip pen to bring out all the dark details in the ridges. A tedious, but very meditative process.
